Maybe he's thinking of Icardi's penalty in his last game at Inter against Empoli. Almost the exact same situation as vs. Lazio actually with CL on the line.

Almost exact situation with the difference that one was trailing away against the immediate competitor with less than 10 minutes to go while the other was at home in the first half vs a team doomed for relegation while Inter was already 1-0 up.

Incorrect. The penalty was in the second half. I agree though - it was similar with those exceptions - also first one he stepped out and second one he choked.

Btw it is worth pointing out that we haven't achieved CL just yet. If we finish fourth, Roma win the Europa League and Napoli win the Champions League we will not be playing CL football.....yes I know highly unlikely but lets be honest look at what we had to go through to get CL the last couple of years loool

I think we're safe, we would also need to finish fourth.

I have been watching the Gags vs Diawara clip probably 50 times by now, and there is definately something wrong with it.
Once Gags rolls on the grass Diawara accelerates his right boot too the face of Gags. I actually think this was by intent.

Now I dislike Diawara and Roma even more.
