Here is the latest from yesterday. Mudingayi was a bit fatigued and bruised but will be available for Roma while Nagatomo is ready to be back in the starting lineup. But what about Antonio Cassano? In view of double commitments (against Roma in Serie A and Coppa Italia), the player will leave for Rome. The fact that he did not suffer any lesion in his thigh leaves optimism at least for Coppa Italia. Inter will play four matches in 11 days and thus, he will be used very carefully when he is back to full fitness. Cassano would love to be there on Sunday to challenge his former team but after today’s test, the team will properly evaluate the pros and cons of his use on Sunday. He will be most likely be on the bench. For Diego Milito, the Argentinian still has discomfort in the knee and remains a strong risk for at least the first two matches with Roma.

I'm almost sure we'll lose it. Hopefully we won't be totally destroyed like it was last year.

Inter injury concerns for Roma

There are fears Antonio Cassano and Diego Milito will miss out on Inter’s trip to Roma this weekend.

Cassano picked up a thigh injury during the 3-2 Coppa Italia extra time victory over Bologna on Tuesday evening.

Tests ruled out a strain or a lesion, but the forward is still in doubt for Sunday’s game.

Milito did not play in the Coppa Italia and continues to struggle with a knee problem.

Alvaro Pereira underwent surgery to reduce a fractured nose this week, but will be available to play this weekend with the aid of a protective mask.

Rodrigo Palacio is therefore likely to start at the Olimpico with either Tommaso Rocchi or Marko Livaja.

In defence, Andrea Ranocchia and Juan Jesus are back from their bans, but Walter Samuel is also battling injury.

Good thing is that De Rossi, Destro, Florenzi and Pjanic played 120 minutes, and have 1 less day to rest.

Bad thing is, that line-up :palm: Even worse, that bench :palm: :palm:

I'd rather start Bessa or Benassi, and lose with fight, than lose with sitting back. 3-6-1? Nah... Hope we can make a troll win, and defend as our lives depend on it. Not afraid of Destro, but Lamela and Osvaldo, damn.. :D

I'd even start Rocchi tbh, Roma are his arch rivals, he will be motavated as no one.

6 men midfield, thats new.

If Rocchi doesn't get a start at the olimpico against his former archrivals when the only strikers that we have available is Palacio and him then I don't know a single good reason why we bought him. That's how we waste the 1,5 million that we wanted discount in Poli's transfer price.

We'll play six in the midfield and still lose the battle in that area.
