Montella on the bench? Me don't think so. Conti said in the press conference that Cassano and Montella were ready.

Romanisti don't seem to very interested in this game. I checked one of they're forums and they only have a mere 60 replies compared to our 320! They only have about 1400 more members too. I guess it shows how desperate we are to win something. ;)

Toldo
JZ Cordoba Miha Favalli
VDM Cambiasso CZ Stankovic
Adriano Oba

Ugh, even I don't like that line-up. I'm not a big Seba fan, but where the hell is the creativity going to come from without him? Might as well clog the midfield to keep Totti and Cassano in check. With a little luck, we can get an away goal via brilliance from Adriano or Oba, a Sinisa FK or bad defending by Roma.... and they are bad.

My line-up:

----------------------Toldo

J.Zanetti---Gamarra---Cordoba---Favalli

Ze Maria---Karagounis---Cambiasso---Stankovic

-----------------Adriano---Oba

I wouldn't mind if we play with C.Zanetti--Cuchu.....but I think we should play more offensively with all our players available.

He was called up but maybe hes not 100%.

......................Toldo....................

JZanetti...Cordoba...Matrix...Favalli

ZeMaria...Stankovic...Cuchu...Kily

...........Adriano...Obagol.............

I think this would be the ideal lineup seeing that Veron is injured. Maybe Van Der Meyde or Karagounis can find somewhere in the lineup as well.

Forza Inter and let's give it our all.

C'E SOLO L'INTER

FORZA RAGAZZZI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No internet broadcast, just Scarpini commentary. However, I've got RAI International which should be showing it. Anybody else with RAI can confirm for me?

I hope the atmosphere is like the one against Milan in the first leg. I felt so pumped when I watched that.

RaiTv is the only source in internet which shows the match and I personally don't trust on it at all.

Here's the stream anyway

http://www.fastweb.it/streaming/raisport.asx

And about our team, it's actually strong and we should attack them totally at t he Olimpico. Too bad that we'll start Deki on flank again.

My line-up.

Adriano - Cruz
Stankovic - Cambiasso - Cristiano - Van Der Meyde
Favalli - Gamarra - Cordoba - J Zanetti
Toldo

Forza Inter.

EDIT:

Rai works at the moment. Evening is different case then. I'll watch it by Viasat paytv anyway.

Can someone make a list of players that are unavailable (that were called up)?

I heard Kily is injured but that's it...

Anybody know why Marino wasn't named in the squad???

Based on the 23 called up this would be my line-up...

Adriano-Cruz
Kily-Cambiasso-Stankovic-van der Meyde
Favalli-Gamarra-Cordoba-J.Zanetti
Toldo

Subs:
Mihajlovic, C.Zanetti, Carini, Karagounis, Martins

why would we call up a player we have no plans to use in the future?

Anyway... I can confirm that RAI international is showing the match. They're also showing Napoli-Avellino, which is something I can look forward to.

Totally agree with primo's line-up. Although I'm undecided between Ze Maria and van der Meyde.

Been a long time huh?

I didnt miss a single match, just busy and no time to come and post but I do come and check the posts every now and then.

We've been waiting for a final since years and years. I am sure many others here experienced our UEFA cup triumph and were full of emotions. Hopefully we will win the Coppa Italia and it will start a new era.

Sell Adriano and buy quality players like A.Cole, Samuel and Cassano.

Javier Zanetti must be available for the 2nd leg, damn I've waited so long to watch him lift a trophy and if we win he MUST be there.

Cheer up chaps, tonight Rome will turn blue!

The probable line-ups from Yahoo:

Roma (4-4-2): 1 Curci, 2 Panucci, 5 Mexes, 13 Chivu, 25 Cufrè, 30 Mancini, 15 Dacourt, 20 Perrotta, 28 Virga, 10 Totti, 18 Cassano.
(33 Pipolo, 3 Xavier, 8 Ferrari, 19 Scurto, 29 Greco, 9 Montella, 11 Corvia).

Inter (4-4-2): 1 Toldo, 4 J.Zanetti, 23 Materazzi, 11 Mihajlovic, 16 Favalli, 13 Ze Maria, 6 C.Zanetti, 19 Cambiasso, 25 Stankovic, 9 Cruz, 10 Adriano.
(15 Carini, 24 Gamarra, 2 Cordoba, 77 Coco, 7 Van der Meyde, 21 Karagounis, 30 Martins)

Montella on the bench predicted again?!

Fabio

I heard Montella isn't 100% fit ,while Martins is only on the bench so he won't get a yellow card and miss the 2nd final.

ROMA - INTER, A CUP FOR HISTORY

The final begins tonight at the Olimpico: the Giallorossi haven't won it since '91, and the Nerazzurri since '82. On Wednesday the end.

Life is now; to think of the future there is plenty of time. The Coppa Italia sponsored by Tim, which has a two legged final system (tonight at the Olimpico and on Wednesday the return leg at the Meazza) has turned into a very important trophy, and not least because both legs will be played in front of full stadiums. Roma haven't won the cup since '91 (against Sampdoria with Mancini), and Inter haven't won it since '82, passing the final lost in 2000 (against Lazio with Mancini). Reaching the final for Roma was a big success as after 2 months of suffering for Bruno Conti from the bench, in 4 days he changed the whole Giallorosso mood, victory at home to Atalanta and mathematical safety in the league championship with one round to go. Success at Udinese in the semifinal (2-1) after the 1-1 draw at the Olimpico, and the chance to win their eighth Coppa along with a UEFA Cup spot.

This trophy which Inter have ignored for too long, is also the Nerazzurri's only hope and also Mancini's (who will manage his 200th game tonight) to bring home a trophy this season, they want to have a clear objective, even if the Coppa Italia isn't as worthy as a Scudetto or a Champions League. This 2 legged final will show if the squad has matured, if they fail to impress on the big stage - like they have done so many times in the past.

There is more to this article which I might translate later, but anyway:
