Our Left back has been an achilles heel since Brehme left in the early 90s. In the last 25 years, the best we have had to show for this role are Maxwell and Chivu - and even when both were at Inter, it was still our weakest position. Some of the worst Inter players in the last 2 decades have been LBs, as well as some big name flops like Roberto Carlos.

R.Carlos never flopped to be fair. He had a disgreement with the genius hodgson who wanted to play him as a lm.

Our best lb when he played there in the last 20 years was probably zanetti, even if he didn't play there regularly. Chivu and maxwell were decent and Georgatos was promising. Rest were plain terrible...

That is a shit list, specially considering the money we spent!!! The only one of the above 22 who didn't suck balls was Maxwell. We spent €121m plus crazy wages over 25 years for just 1 position - and still it remained our worst position through these years. On the other hand, between Zanetti and Maicon, we had a world class RB for 20 years for a fraction of that cost.

I fear for Ansaldi and "The Curse of the Left Back Biscione".

Few objections :
Nagatomo is not shit while he is not world beater either. He was okay in his first 2-3 years in Inter.
Chivu was great as well until his helm swallowed his brain and hist football skills.
Maxwell was also good especially considering we didn't spent any dime for him.
Telles showed some bright spots in his appearances with Inter, not sure why Inter released him as I consider him the most performing fullback last season.



Meanwhile, the rest is especially gresko , coco the next maldini , and pereira

Handa's agent confrmed today that Handanovic chose to stay at Inter despite having some good offers from other top clubs

Him and Palacio deserve LGI for carrying Inter in those tough times after the treble until now tbh
We didn't achieve anything significant but we had to survive the total caos

As much as I have a soft spot for Palacio for saving us from the humiliation of a much lower standing in the table for those two seasons, his overall contribution to the team throughout his stint here doesn't come close to that of Handa's, who's still winning us points this season.

He is not the biggest problem but I am pretty sure Inter won't win anything as long he is in the squad.
