Didn't Julione leave because he wanted bigger salary?

No inter wanted him to sign a new contract with a big pay cut. Either sign or get out.

IMO, if he was loyal to say Milan, he'd have went abroad. Not like spain is a million miles away either. I don't consider Pirlo to have any loyalty. Although it's a good point you make that the previous clubs didn't want him, I still think if he was loyal to them he wouldn't move to a direct rival.

Back to topic, Handa for me constantly looks like he's fed up with this team and that he's too good to be here

We can certainly agree on the last part. Handanovic does seem to have a suspext mentality at times. There have been a few goals he could have stopped when things were going really bad but he didn't try. He also seems to be one of the first to let his head sink when things go shit. This is from someone who defended him pretty stoutly previously.

I think he is interested in his career. That's ok to me, but of course if we can't give him what he wants then he is going to leave us as soon as possible. Work is work.

Yeah but I'm talking about more than body language. Handa interviews too, I'm waiting to read a post match interview where he literally States we're shit. He seems a lot less loyal to Inter than Julio IMO. Julio LOVED Inter, Handa would go to Juve in the morning for UCL I feel. And the body language im referring to is Julio running to the fans kissing his jersey and stuff, clear to see his passion

Is this fucking witch trials or red scare where each player has to prove he is not evil by publicly swearing his loyalty?

There's a legitimate debate to be had on whether Handanovic is mentally strong enough to be a top player. But to question his loyalty on the basis of what he says in fluff interviews is inane.

1. I remember Zlatan kissing Barcelona's patch.

2. Julio Cesar loved INTER in a time when loving INTER was way more easy than nowadays.

I'm not saying JC didn't love us but it's not like the case of Pagliuca, who stood by our side from 1994 to 1999, one of the most horrid periods for INTER when we won nothing while Jube and Bbilan won 1 UEFA Champions League each and several scudettos.

I hold Julio Cesar in high regard but let's not overreact and diminish Handanovic just because he doesn't smile, kiss the badge, etc.

Well then before Julio left he came out on the pitch in his normal clothes because he was virtually sold at this stage, with tears in his eyes because he wanted to say goodbye to the fans. That's love for the club. Don't get me wrong I love Handa and don't want him to leave, but I was referring to those comments about Julio and Handa at the top of the last page. And wings, to disregard what people say in interviews is insane. It gives an insight into what they're thinking, and FOR ME it sounds a lot of the time like Handa is sick of saving our teams ass.

And let me make this clear. I honestly don't care about this loyalty thing. Lol if he left for a team in UCL I wouldn't mind because he's a great player and deserves it, he's still arguably our best player so I don't give a shit about his body language on the field, as long as he keeps saving our asses he can do whatever the fuck he likes

I'm not saying interviews don't matter. But I wish people wouldn't read so much into what's not there. Not everyone (and this is all people, not just footballers) wears their emotions on their sleeve. Not everyone wants the whole world to know exactly what they're thinking. That's just how some people's personalities are.

I'm not saying that Handanovic is definitely a huge Interista, and I'm not saying that there's no possibility that he's a closet Juventus or Milan fan. I don't know. But some of the 'interpretation' here is ridiculous.

We should be realistic.

He wants CL football and he deserves it tbh, so probably he is leaving this summer cause we in CL next year is highly unlikely, at least in this stage.

I suggest we go after Romero, he was solid this season so far. I also heard his contract expires this summer, so it is the perfect timing to negotiate.

Romero reminds me of Muslera, both I can't trust at the back.

I think it's logical for him to wait with the renewal to see which direction the club will choose - either playing for mid-table or play in the Champions League.

It has nothing to do with loyalty, it's a career move. The situation would most likely be different if he was 24,25, but he is 30 now and he really can't afford to wait 2 seasons to see if the situation will improve or not.

So I take it, his near post is his weakness? :palm:

Good grief Handa, twice? C'mon man.

Both shots were pretty amazing. Can't blame him too much but yeah, he seems to concede on his near post more frequently.

Indeed, but however the first one of Zaza caught him off. Guess he didn't expected that, you can even see his reaction from replays that it was a clumsy attempt to save the shot, and he seems to concede those kind of goals quite often though

The second goal of Sansone was masterpiece shot. I'd rather blame it on defence for leaving so much space available for opponent.

Indeed the first shot was ridiculous. Not only was Vidic on him, Ranocchia was behind, which means the ball had to be hit perfectly to pass two defenders the keeper and thread that corner Handa was on.

Give Zaza that shot 20 times and this would be the only time it went in.

When i said that people countered that shooting a ball with power makes it impossible for a keeper to do anything

He was not prepared for the first one, he could never see it since it came from a half chance and the second one is a masterpiece. He is definately not at fault for the goals. It is true that sometimes he rather waits than throw himself, but nobody expected zaza to shoot from there and so precise too. If he saved the first goal than he would really be inhuman.

Good goals anyway, at least something cool about this game.

Neon :palm: Do you know top corner shots are pretty much statistically impossible to save? Especially the second shot. What pisses me off is these Sassuolo cunts never score those types of goals. That's what we get for giving them space.

Seems like he wants to join a better club. Can't say I blame him with our current run and being a mid-table club.. We should cash in on him during the summer as it's our last chance
