The derby again showed that this season Inter are overly reliant on eto'o to perform every single game.
He was very poor in the derby, not influential at all and then we struggled.
It really hasnt changed much from Benitez, the team got more stable and some players regained their confidence but overall we still depend almost solely on Eto'o.
Its worse than how we depended on Zlatan tbh.
The team needs more player who can do something on their own, eto'o and to some degree Maicon are the only players we have who are capable of that.

Some of you guys are a funny bunch! Guys look at that game yesterday! The whole team was not performing!Nothing went right!Allegri drew up a perfect plan to stop Eto'o and it worked! He had 3 guys watching him! See, if we had guys with speed and movements to create space for him, it would have been a different game. He had no chance. Pazzini as great a box striker as he is can't move . pandev too.We needed coutinho. Look at that game again and you will see that whenever sammy had the ball he had 3 Milan players on him and he was forced to dribble because there was none of our players fast enough to run with him to get open for him to pass the ball to them. He was isolated on the left wing because Allegri's plan was to make sure the ball don't get to him there and if it does dont let him make dangerous runs and it worked to perfection!It seemed like he was in a guarded jail or prison! Leo could have countered that by allowing him to move around freely!He had to comeback to get the ball because our midfield was shit! ! WE DEPEND ON HIM TOO MUCH! IF WE HAD ANOTHER DANGEROUS PLAYER LIKE HIM UPFRONT[WOW I MISS MILITO]IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DIFFERENT GAME! ITS NO SECRET THAT ALL OUR LOSES HAPPENS WHEN SAMMY IS HELD IN CHECK. YEAH that miss, guys he slipped. Look at that game again! It can happen to anybody and it was offside too! Most of you lot are looking for any reason to blame somebody and are hardly objective at all !If you guys know football , you will watch the game closely before making jugements like these

Nobody can take that away from him, but I'd trade many of his goals against relegation-battling teams for that one goal in derby matches.
lmaoo you are too funny! remember that we lost some games to those relegation teams you are talking about! On any given day any team can beat any team! Well sammy on his own can take care of relegation teams but with bigger games he needs help to shine! The Bayern game was a big game.He had help in that game. All of our players showed up in that game and because of it his moment of brilliance in addition with other players performing well, we won that game!No one man can win a game by himself. Nobody!!! You are talking about and laughing at a true champion, a fighter. A man whose play and goals have been the ultimate decision breaker in some of the most important games and against some of the biggest teams in the world! Man thats just wrong!!! to be honest.... LEo's 4-2-1-3 played into Milan's hands with Etoo..... Go re-watch second madrid game, where Gattuso man marked Ronaldo out of the game. Essentially playing Etoo as a winger made it much easier for Milan to deal with him. Gattuso was on him, along w/ backline shadowing, he didn't really get ball in great chances except for one deep run which turned out to be offside

Some ppl here are blind or just dumb! Eto'os chance was NOT offside so stop with that claim ! This doesn't means that he is shit coz he is clearly our best player but STFU about his chance being off-side... He should've put that in the net!

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFI wanna see Pandev play wide and so Eto'o can play more deep into the penalty box. He will provide more simple tap in goals for Pazzo. All these while Pandev has played too close to Pazzo and left Pazzo no where to move and Eto'o is being pushed out on the wing. Eto'o should play close to Pazzo/Milito and Sneijder. Eto'o and Sneijder one-two sometimes are a real killer.

Inter has struggled playing the 4231 formation in SerieA, against Brescia, Lecce and now AC Milan, playing this system allows Eto'o to be isolated on the left wing and teams now understand that he is Inter's most dangerous player and deploy their tactics to slow him down by sending two or three player each time he touches the ball. Inter has just scored two goals from the last three games since Pandev was inserted into the starting lineup. 4312 should be deployed in SerieA going forward if Inter is to have any chance to the title. This system allows more freedom to Eto'o and Sneider. Eto can attack from the left, through the middle or from the right. Any brillant coach will want to give his best players more freedom on the pitch in order disrupt the opponent's tactics.
