I edited the topic's title a little bit, I hope you don't mind.
I have watched all 4 movies and my favorite, by some light years, have to be The Godfather. Al Pacino put in an incredible performance as Tony Montana in Scarface and despite all the bravado; Tony Montana was rash, hot-headed and not cool at all.
But in The Godfather, both Marlon Brando & Al Pacino, as Don Vito Corleone & Michael Corleone respectively, also put in incredible performances yet their characters is much more likeable. Both are reasonable man but to a certain extent, the latter is more dangerous than his father. Cool, calm, collected yet dangerous as f*ck. There is also the loyal godson that is
Consigliere Tom Hagen, played to perfection by the legendary Robert Duvall.
Some great quotes from the trilogy:
"Never let anyone outside the family know what you're thinking" - Don Vito Corleone
"It's strictly business" -
Consigliere Tom Hagen to Sonny Corleone after an attempt of murder on his father
"I don't want his brother to come out with his d!ck in his hand" - Sonny Corleone warning
Caporegime Clemenza to plant the gun perfectly
"Keep your friends close, keep your enemy closer" - Michael Corleone
"If history has taught us anything, Tom, it is that no one in this world can't be killed" - Michael Corleone
And of course, the most famous of them all
"My father made him
an offer that he (A movie producer) couldn't refuse. Luca Brasi held a gun behind his (A movie producer) head and my father guaranteed him that the contract will leave the room either with his signature or brain on it." - Michael Corleone telling tales about his father to his fiancee, Kay Adams
The Godfather. :star: By the way, you should also get the novel since there are emotions of the characters that even the Pacinos & Brandos couldn't conveyed in the movie. :star:
