This hype has done wrong to the kid i guess. Rumors say that he is refusing offers from Serie B and only wants a serie A club.
He is no where ready physically to play in Serie A in my opinion and honestly has shown nothing in this year to deserve such chance.

A club like Monza would be ideal for his growth.

Yeah, if he is smart he will look for a loan to a club which will start him. It doesn't really matter whether its Serie A or B at this stage, he needs to play regularly in a senior league and get used to the physicality. Its a critical adjustment, this is where most youth talents usually fail. Playing regularly should be his goal, and building up physique to adjust to the senior level. If he has the talent, it will shine through.

id rather he joined a dominant team in Serie B and scored 15-20 goals next season, than Serie A team and score 5.

According to Sky, Esposito will join Torino on loan.

Interesting choice. Hopefully he gets playing time.
I think he will.
Besides Belotti, who else is there with a guaranteed starting spot up front?
Zaza? He washed up bust long time ago.

They also have Berenguer and Verdi but they mostly play on the wings. It will depend on the formation they're gonna use next season. Certainly a better option than Atalanta.

in all honesty, i don't think he's good enough for Serie A, right now. and anyway, i would have recommended him to go somewhere where he's more or less guaranteed to play, which i definitely don't see happen at torino.

On the other hand there might be changes in Torino after their horrible season. It's anyway stupid to loan Esposito without buyback clause for the loaning club (and counter buyback for us). They won't use him that much, if they don't own him (unless he sets the world on fire). It would have to be a lesser club which don't have proper forwards (given poor financial status etc)

Torino only has Belotti, Zaza who is a steaming pile of sh*t and Millico who is a youngster. All the other attackers play on the wings or behind those n°9s.
I don't remember how he used to play with Frosinone but Moreno Longo might switch and leave the 3421/3412 they usually play.

I don't mind him going to Torino but the problem is that those clubs tend to get a lot of loan players and/or stockpile a lot of attackers like Genoa who has only Pandev as a striker + some young dude they got from another shady Juventus deal + 5 freaking loaned strikers including Pinamonti who has an obligation to buy. Esposito might be quickly joined with other strikers roaming in Serie A/B like the Falcinellis and Pavolettis.

Longo isn't likely to remain as the coach of Torino next season, from the rumours it seems more likely it will be Giampaolo. If I remember correctly, he likes to play 4-3-1-2 which may work in favour of young Esposito. Giampaolo has a decent track record with youngsters developing the likes of Schick, Skriniar, Andersen, etc. But also I think he likes his strikers to press hard, and Esposito's (lack of) physicality may work against him here.

I fear Esposito is too raw to be a starter for Torino. At best, I expect Giampaolo to consider him as the first striker of the bench. Which is better than staying at Inter, but I think Esposito could have developed better playing regularly in Serie B.

It could be good for him actually. I think that Schick started the season on the bench at Sampdoria, could be the same for Esposito. Like I said it really depends on which striker they decide to get because I can't see them keeping Zaza but third striker and first from the bench with 5 subs allowed is good.
Learning from Belotti is valuable too, I like him a lot because of his incredible workrates. He could get from him the experience he needs, even improve on the physical side. When he left Inter Zaniolo was a twig, now he looks and plays completely different.

I thought that shot went in at first. Would've been a great way to end the match.

It looked as if he could have passed to Eriksen instead when approaching the box, but he opted to dribble his way around, I guess trying to do too much.

Agreed.

Pass to Eriksen was the obvious option, Esposito just wanted so desperately to score.

If Sanchez is absent, Conte will use Eriksen again as a sub for Lautaro or Lukaku, if needed.

Nicolò Schira - #SPAL closing for Sebastiano's loan #Esposito from #Inter . Here we are. The jewel born in 2002 in Ferrara would find his brother Salvatore, born in 2000 and pillar of the Este median.

This would be good for Espo. Same thing we need to do with Pirola, Salcedo and Agoume.

I don't like loan options for players who we consider our jewels who might shine. I don't know why we don't do it yet, something similar to the half of the player, but with more certainty, i.e. the sale with buy back option.

With loan, there is literally zero incentive for the loaning club to play him and develop him to the fullest. The only way that player plays over the owned player, is when the loaned player is twice the player for his position from loaning club. If that's not the case, he will not play instead of the owned player, as the club gains too little to play/develop him. When was the last time you remember a player who was loaned from us, who played a lot in a decent team? It doesn't exist. If Zaniolo was loaned, I'm sure he would not be so developed by Roma either.

What I would much rather prefer is if we just sold the player with a higher buy back option/first option that would be there for 2-3 years. Obviously only lesser clubs would do it, but it's no problem to sell the player for lower fee as we can get him back with the clause. That way the loaning club has incentive to develop the player that they cannot afford, because if they develop him well the former club will buy him back with interest. With loan it hardly ever happens. How ofter we loan players to serie B, to only hear how they sit on the bench constantly.

Yeah I agree there's this mismatch of incentives. It's however interesting how eager many clubs have been in loaning Esposito. I have a feeling there will be eventually loan + option to buy type of deal coming (with us having the buyback option). Otherwise there is really very little incentive for let's say SPAL to use Esposito unless he's really good. And nothing pointed out him being really good last season.

Looking at SPAL's squad, they have Floccari (38) and Paloschi (30) as their strikers. So, there might be room for Esposito. Then they also have their own kid Jaume Cuellar (19). If this Cuellar is any good, much more reasonble for them to use him. But, everything depends on the quality. If Esposito can score goals and bring SPAL back to Serie A, he will play.

edit.

Sky confirms Inter and SPAL have an agreement and it's up to the player now.
