Costa is on his way to Atletico. He even did a live video with the Atletico shirt. He's just looking for a team to be loaned to until January.

Goretzka's contract expires in less than a year and he's valued at around 25mil, with juve making a move for him.

From what I saw in confederations cup, he was awesome.

I watch Schalke from time-to-time. He is great, but not sure he's what we need right now.

Yeah I guess we have enough 'talented' midfielders as it is. Hate to see him go to juve and strengthen them though.

I am pretty sure he will go to Bayern . He would have done it this season already but Bayern wants him to stay for another year in Schalke and then get him for free

There are people here who are under estimating Roma for next season. Spalletti is a big loss for them, and a lot depends on how quickly EDF can make the team play his game. But apart for that risk of a new coach, there is a big over reaction to Roma's mercato. I am impressed with how well they plan their mercato.

- They got top dollar for Salah, and now have sufficient funds to get an adequate replacement that suits the new coach (Mahrez?)
- They got big money for a bench player (Paredes) who will not be missed at all since they got Pellegrini & Gonalons
- EDF wants to shift to a 4 man defence, which made Rudiger a bench player - so they sold him for big money and replaced him with Moreno.
- From what I saw last night, Cengiz Under looks like a great buy. Defrel gives them depth in attack, and while I haven't seen Karsdorp play he is considered an upgrade on Bruno Peres at RB. And Kolarov competes with Emerson to add depth at LB - thats 4 quality FBs. Gonalons & Pellegrini add more depth in midfield, which was already a strong point for them - they have already prepared for De Rossi's retirement.

If they sell Manolas, it will be for big money and Monchi will find an adequate replacement. And assuming their Salah replacement is Mahrez, I daresay that Roma as a squad are actually stronger than last season.

The only way they will become weaker in the starting XI is if they sell Nainggolan.

di francesco is a very good coach but i remember sassuolo struggling to avoid relegation (and barely making it) in their first season in serie A. it might take a while before the players adjust to di francesco's game plan.

It's nice seeing other teams signing players pretty quickly, while at Inter it seems like we are sending ravens to negotiate.

Milan closing in on Renato Sanches - the details of the operation

Milan are close to reaching an agreement with Bayern Munich for Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches. The 19-year-old looks set to leave the Bundesliga champions this summer and French journal L’Equipe is convinced that the Rossoneri have got their man claiming that business has already been concluded.

Despite these claims, Calciomercato.com has learned that business has not been concluded but that the two parties seem close to striking a deal. The player’s agent, Jorge Mendes has spoken with Milan officials in the past 24 hours and it seems as though the player will arrive at the San Siro on an initial loan deal worth €7M followed by an obligation to buy fixed at €33M in an arrangement similar to the one Juventus struck with the German giants for Douglas Costa.

The player himself is understood to have given the green-light on a salary around €3M net per-season as we await further developments over the next 24 hours.

First transfer I would actually envy them on. Could have been solid investment for Inter with potential to becoming our own Naingollan or Vidal or whatever. He's got tenacity, agression and stamina to fit the role, while having technical skills and potential to emulate them.

You've also ignored the fact that he's not 32.

Milan on Sanches and El Ghazi
By Football Italia staff

Milan are hoping Bayern Munich will accept the latest Renato Sanches offer for a total €45-50m, but also asked after Lille’s Anwar El Ghazi today.

Sky Sport Italia claim the Rossoneri discussed several situations with agent Jorge Mendes in Sardinia yesterday.

The main one was for Renato Sanches, who declared this week he wanted more playing time and considered Milan an “interesting option.”

According to the latest reports, Bayern Munich have not yet accepted the proposal of a €10m loan deal with option to buy for another €35-40m.

Mendes is working to convince the Bundesliga giants to make the agreement, but French suggestions of a done deal are premature.

Sanches isn’t the only one on their wish-list, as Mendes also represents El Ghazi.

The 22-year-old winger has two senior international caps for the Netherlands and only made his €7m transfer from Ajax to Lille in January.

However, he has struggled in France under Coach Marcelo Bielsa and is looking to move on again.

Sky Sport Italia insist El Ghazi would be available for around €8m.

Sanches is a gamble buy for them IMO. They should stick to buying their top class CF and call it a day.

It seems Rummenigge was right Milan aren't ready to meet their financial requirements for Sanches

Fassone: 'Sanches too expensive'
By Football Italia staff

Milan CEO Marco Fassone warns “at this moment there are no negotiations” for Renato Sanches, but if Bayern Munich lower the asking price, “then we are here.”

There had been reports in France today of a deal for around €40m, while others suggested €10m for the loan plus an option to buy for €35-40m.

“At this moment there are no negotiations,” Fassone told Sky Sport Italia.

“Our rapport with (Bayern chief Karl-Heinz) Rummenigge is very good. We’ve discussed the situation a couple of times, but at this moment they have a valuation of the player that we are not prepared to match.

“If the situation changes in August, then we are here.”

Fassone also shot down reports that Carlos Bacca is close to Olympique Marseille.

“For the moment there are no offers. Those who have less space this season could ask to leave and we’ll evaluate that.”

Bilan reportedly met with Mendes and made an approach for..........Christiano Ronaldo :serious:

Whether it's true or not, and of course they're not going to pull it off, it's still depressing watching them apparently offer 150 million for him while we can't even close a fucking deal on Dalbert

The reports just said that they asked about Ronaldo, probably after the whole 'Ronaldo will leave Madrid' thing. So you shouldn't worry about Milan signing Ronaldo.
