Inter won't pay for Mustafi

Shkodran Mustafi has put in a transfer request to join Inter, but the Nerazzurri only want a loan and Arsenal demand €40m.

The centre-back moved to London a year ago for €40m from Valencia and the Gunners want to at the very least make their money back.

A Germany international, he already has experience in Serie A, playing for Sampdoria from January 2012 to the summer of 2014.

According to The Sun newspaper, Mustafi is determined to join Inter and put in a transfer request.

However, Italian sources insist Inter are only prepared to take him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

If Arsenal don’t change their terms, then the Nerazzurri will continue pushing Manchester City for Eliaquim Mangala on loan instead.

Hope that if we sell Mustafi, he goes to Inter. It's ridiculous how Arsenal is willing to give up on him so quickly yet can't get rid of trash players like Walcott and Welbeck.

Don't have super high expectations for him though, he struggled a bit last year. The team played better when he was on the bench when Arsenal made that trademark run to try to get 4th place.
