If they intended to sell Hakimi i don't get why they didn't go for Sarri. How are you going to play 3-5-2 without wingbacks? Who's gonna replace Hakimi? Florenzi?

Do you really think this is a problem for know it all Marotta? He only needs a few days to find a dying 30 year old Italian Darmian type of player.

Would not surprise me, if Marotta leaves once his contract is up.

If this is the case why not quit now if he doesn't agree with Hakim's sale or Inzaghi's hiring?

I think it is safe to say that Inzaghi will do better in CL but worse in Serie A than Conte.

TBH it's pretty much impossible to do worst than Conte in CL, we were dead last in a super shitty group, even Real Madrid was awful this year.

It's also pretty difficult to do better in Serie A considering we'll definitely have a worst team than last season, and it'll be awhile before all the competition is so shit again.

Basically all the top teams should be better next season: Rube, Milan, Atalanta, Roma, Napoli. Only Lazio would probably be worse.

Plus we will be top seeds so again the group should be easier which gives inzaghi more favourable conditions to do well in the CL.

According to Di Marzio, Inzaghi signed a two-year contract tonight.

Unfortunately, it seems we might get a tough group. Pot 2 has good teams this time.

Whatever, one thinks about Marotta, he maybe the only one with a sense of honor.

Inzaghi has been very inconsistent at Lazio.

In 2016/17, his first season, Lazio finished 5th in a season with both Inter and Milan in a bad shape. In the following season they finished 5th, choking in the last games and losing CL qualification in the last match of the season against Inter. In 2018/19 they had a terrible season and they finished 8th. In 2019/20, the only season i think Inzaghi overachieved, they were fighting for the Scudetto with Juve till February but post-covid they had a total collapse and they finished behind Inter and Atalanta. In 2020/21, they had a totally mediocre season and they finished 6th.

I see nothing special in Inzaghi, he's very hot and cold and he would have been fired at Inter during his bad runs. He's exactly where he's supposed to be. That's his level. Lazio.
Just checked his results in Europe.Jesus Christ...

This is not impressive at all.

And one thing is sure,he had lot of luck with the draw.
He also apparently know how to beat Ligue 1 clubs :D

Inzaghi's Lazio contract expiring on 30 May means that the announcement will be made on 31 May or 1 June huh.

Since we're going to do worse in SA and better in CL, I think I will have to settle for a CL win and Scudetto only with 2 rounds to play.

Conte didn't had to deal with the wrath of a full Meazza. Something I see happening with S. Inzaghi. How will he cope? How will the team cope?

Conte might not have faced much "wrath" last season. Conte won 17 of his 19 home games.

Tell that to the people who'd witness us losing to Real Madrid and Juventus in the Coppa as well as failing to beat Gladbach and Shakhtar...

If its Simone Inzhagi then I am fine with him..I have accepted at best a 2nd Place finish..No way Inzhagi is a Tier A coach and no matter how i will get roasted for this..He is not a serial winner..I would be pleasantly surprised if we even got to 2nd position..Allergis Juve would eat us all over ..I dont want to post just for getting upvotes...If we are doing better than Banter era level then good but no way we are winning Scudetto..

Maybe we might see an improvement in CL but face Madrid or Bayern or City we will shitting our pants again..Truth is bitter ..

Has this guy Inzhagi ever said something controversial.. He is a nice lad,a conformist, ..maybe à best he will have a rainiers type career, maybe eke out a championship from somewhere or a benetiz..we need disruptive Champions like Conte,A younger Mourinho from somewhere..

I'm 100% pessimistic about this appointment. I'm predicting a total catastrophe. The guy was at Lazio for 21 years, he knew the environment, didn't have the pressure of a new club and a new environment, the people around knew him and trusted him.

All this and he was only mediocre at Lazio. He didn't overachieve in any sense of way. I expected at least Gasperini level of success. Even that mediocre level of his is down to being in a friendly environment with much less pressure. In a different environment he could be much worse.

He might end up being a good coach in a few years but he needs to gain much more experience under pressure before being hired by the first team in the league.

The preasure it's not the same in Lazio and Inter. Internet fans and Curva will eat him alive if we lose twice in a row.
