I don't understand the insistence on playing from the back every single play. If the opposing team insists on the hard press, just hoof the ball to their back line, press them back, win the ball in their half and attack. Finis.
I agree we did it a lot last year. How many times did a wingback dump a blind ball into Lukaku. When we are pressed we should do the same if we have Dzeko up top. Our main issue with this has been we haven’t been using Dumfries a ton. So we really have no out ball from the striker because the wingbacks don’t have pace.

But why play Lukaku-ball when we don't have the right players to execute?

But then teams would stop pressing or be mindful that this is the game plan.

The issue still remains that this teams back line and midfield are susceptible to high press.

Also, what is the point of the back three if you can’t build from the back?

I think we do, when we play Dumfries instead of Darmian. It’s about variety. We don’t have to do it every time but if we are being pressed it should be an option to relieve pressure.

Inter Have Made Their Best Goal Scoring Start To Serie A Since 1960, Italian Media Report

The last time that Inter scored this many goals in their first five league fixtures was in the 1960/61 Serie A campaign, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the man in charge of the team back then was Helenio Herrera. He presided over five matches where Inter managed to score an impressive 18 goals.

That Nerazzurri side beat Bologna 5-1, Bari 2-1, Udinese 6-0, and Vicenza 5-0, before drawing 0-0 with Lazio in the fifth game.

That means they scored 18 goals which is the amount that Simone Inzaghi’s Inter has managed so far, which will be an immense relief to the coach and the executives at Inter.

After the departure of Romelu Lukaku there was a fear that goals would be hard to come by, but the signings of Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa have, so far, worked very well, with the former scoring four goals already.

Filippo may have been the better player, but Simone is the better coach.

Got the subs right again, but this time Inter just couldn't pull it off. Oh well.

1. he was fucking clueless in the first half. simply outclassed by Gasperini.
2. he did everithing right in the 2nd half despite few leaky defense.

major lesson for him tonight is Dumfries should be our starting WB. he provides us speed and physicality which Darmian are lack of. Vecino should be played alongside Barella and Brozovic. Hakan is utter shit in last 2 games.

Dzeko was shit and he should have taken him out after the equalizer. Apart from that, his substitutes were ok, but for another game in a row, our defense sucks. I won't be surprised if we get beaten with 4-5 goals if any team is capable to capitalize their chances.

We aren't going anywhere with his football if he doesn't find a balance between defence and attack. Sure the matches are going to be entertaining and completely pazza but you can't fight for the title like this.

Inzaghi looked like a weak coach today. It could have gone either way and Inzaghi was not on the driver seat in this game. He was more like passanger in rollercoaster with eyes closed.

IMO it is not wise go changing punches with Atalanta.

More experienced player should take penalties because it is more mental than skills to put the ball to net from the spot.

We are attacking with too many people upfront, and the players shall be more precise when moving the ball because every mistake costs us a dangerous counter-attack. Just see what happened after the Lautaro's goal. For a short period we still managed to play properly, but then players started to commit too many wrong passes and Atalanta took the initiative.

We will never be anywhere close to the title with his football. There is a reason his Lazio always played nicely but always (except once) be outside CL spots.

Zeman-style upfront and atrocious defense. It hasn't changed a bit.

I'm pretty sure we could find the posts exactly like this around year ago. :D Everyone maybe doesn't remember that we played this kind of gung-ho football at the start of our Scudetto year. And it wasn't balanced at all, leading to us conceding so many goals.

Now we've managed to keep clean sheet once in 7 matches in this season, home against Genoa. It's simply not enough. Inzaghi needs to change something if he wants to challenge for the Scudetto.

I like winning more.
