Let hope he can bring us scudetto. Cause right now we are playing football that Conte's Inter could only dream. Way to go Limone, way to go.
fucking auto-correctionIcardi is coaching now?
I remember 3/4 of this place or more wanted him out 6 months ago, and I recall being mocked for saying he'd probably replace Klopp at Liverpool if he left. Now he's considered by most one of the top coaches.
Can't make this shit up, but it's better if results are coming our way so that more people can see the light. Just be careful not to get blinded after the next hiccup.
Agreed. I also feel the management really worked with him this summer to get players that can allow him to play in many different ways.I may not always agree with his personnel decisions but you can't argue that this guy flat out knows how to coach. Low block, high line, in possession, out of possession, in transition, it doesn't matter. He has the team drilled to do every style and picks the right one for the opponent almost every time.
I think he already passed that test last season. For sure there will be a period of poor form and bad results but hopefully he won't lose dressing room and get himself into difficult situation. Now things are looking great and he deserves credit for turning things around while he was inches from being sacked.
Glad he's still around. I was very skeptic regarding his ability to run this team, but so far he's making me regret. He owes us a Scudetto though, but he certainly deserves so much credit for keeping Inter competitive although with limited options and budget.
Our management was just amazing recently. And I'm talking about our directors and Limone. Grazie!
He is just missing that one scudetto to be one of the greats here.
Considering our finances, if he wins the scudetto this season, he definitely deserves it. Scudetto, CL final, 2 Coppas and 2 Supercoppas in 3 years, when losing a bunch of important players each season is great achievement. It requires more then one scudetto to be mentioned among the greats.
Also Serie A isn’t what it was, it’s endless much easier to perform like this in the current landscape of Serie A.
We had 8 coaches who managed to win one scudetto of which 2 managed to win other silverware namely Bersellini and Trapattoni, so he be about that level, although not quite Trapattoni as he actually won in Europe.
So we had a few one season wonder coaches, and only 4 that managed to win more then once (Foni, Herrera Mancini and Mourinho), it’s usually those 4 mentioned as the greats with some adding Trapattoni to the list.
He wanted to win that way cause it'll look better in his CV. But since that wasn't possible, he realized you have to adapt to the team instead of your preferences. We really have to ask the question of where was this tactical flexibility in the last two years, coz you can make a case that it only started to be implemented at the end of the last season when the cl place was out of reach, and in cl league maybe slightly earlier. But where were the low blocks and this tactical flexibility earlier, all we saw majority of the time was gung ho attacking football which wasn't sustainable at all.
That's the thing that I resent him the most right now, especially when you see that he is capable of it. And yes now it's easier to play that way with thuram in attack, but even last year with dzeko and correa it gave us positive results. Ffs I remember people talking about this two months into his arrival here and everyone could see it will be a problem. It took him almost two years to figure the stuff that conte figured in a couple of months in that scudetto winning season.
He is doing a great job right now, I don't remember the last time we looked this good, but I just have to mention this especially coz it was so obvious from the beginning.
