My ideal scenario would have been if Inter's owners (Suning or new owner) did not have a crippling cash crunch, and we had continued to build upon the Conte project. Imagine last years team plus funds to buy 2-3 quality players to improve the squad. Even if it was "cheaper" players like Gosens, Dzeko and Hakan added to last year's squad as back ups, Conte could have taken us another level up in performance. Instead, we have gone down a notch in quality since the end of last season. The fact that this is only apparent against quality teams is to the credit of Inzaghi's work - he has done remarkably well with what he has got.

D'ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar 100 times better than Dimarco..

Dimarco against Napoli is very lucky because Politano injured, other than that the result is different.

Saw it mentioned before but he really needs to switch our game plan. Conte knew how fragile our GK was and the lack of pace we had on the backline. We were compact and hard to score on in spite of Handanovic. The way Inzaghi plays is great if you have a great goalie or quick defenders. We have neither and this is extremely glaring when Di Marco(who is absolutely awful defensively) plays.

Inter are still potentially ahead if the game in hand against Bologna is won, but the attacking ineffectiveness is surely worrying.

Again you guys are such drama queens. Dimarco for Bastoni is 100% correct. Are you telling me the best solution is to (1) play Skriniar out of position in LCB and (2) field a slow DDA against Raspadori/Beradi? Give me a break...

Plus what option do we have other than Gags? Vidal was probably tired after Liverpool. Barella had to stand in for Brozo. Gags was the only option.

Then you also need to acknowledge his guts to stick with 3412 for the entire second half. I would be mad if he sub Dzeko on for Lautaro in the 80th minute. But I can't flaw him if he had used every tool at his disposal at half time.

If anything, starting Darmian is a case of over-rotation. Against a tough opponent, it's fine to rotate 1 player in each line, but not 2.
