He has a united team behind him and management team which are providing him pieces. He's gonna get a pay raise for what he has achieved and even if it's not as much some other club could pay, I would claim the things I listed in the previous sentence have more factor than some millions more in Inzaghi's bank account.

He has a legit chance to build Inter to be a force in Europe again. I can't see why he would throw that away for a "new challenge". Because that new challenge might aswell be a total disaster (Man Utd, Chelsea, Bayern). He knows what he has here and it looks good.

I don`t know. You may be also right.
But the memory in football is very short. You are in one year one of the most priced assets, but only after a "mediocre" year you could be relegated from the likes of Inter to Lazio again or even worse. If the team will not be dismantle, and I don`t see any reason for it, Inter is the best option for him. And he will not find another don Beppe there. Chelseas or Uniteds or these world, could be a career killer. He is not someone like Ancelotti or Mourinho, who after mediocre spells will receive good offers.

I would say that's a bold statement that you expect me to be proven wrong, ie. you expect Inzaghi to leave Inter after this season, after Inter has won the CL?

If he wants to leave, do it at the end of next season. His reputation will be further cemented as a top coach if next season goes well assuming this one ends well too. Another good CL run this year and then solidifying it again next year will be very hard for him to lose his reputation even if Chelsea or United go poorly. Right now for most people he's had one decent season and hopefully a great one this year

It seems quite unlikely he leave, while Chelsea and United are likely intriguing destinations they aren’t unproblematic and I think many coaches are really thinking twice because of the issue that exists at direction level in those clubs. You can literally destroy your career going there, it’s a huge risk. I think if he goes anywhere it be the likelihood of Liverpool or Barcelona, but even then he might be pleased enough where he is at for now. I wouldn’t blame him if he dos decide to go to more luxurious destinations as I think it’s hard to be recognised enough if you don’t go England, Real or Barca some point in your career.

Precisely, Inzaghi would really have to love money to go to Chelsea or United (given they would even offer considerably bigger wages than what we can). Those are not stable destinations at the moment, you can more easily ruin your career or at least take a backstep if you go to those destinations.

He will continue to build his career at Inter so that he will be a staple in European football. And if he can continue this work he's been doing his years at Inter, nothing stops it from happening IMO. He can be a big name without leaving. And then he can leave when he is a big name. That's when he can collect the big money if that is even what he wants. Challenge is another motivational thing of course.

But that's AT LEAST few years away.

It took +2 years of hard work for this squad to learn his style of football and now he's reaping the rewards, why would he throw everything away when he can make history here? If I were him I'd be dreaming of multiple Serie A titles and a CL trophy

These opinions can be troublesome things. Like assholes. We all have them, and they act up at times.

What is inferred in my statement is that he would need to win the CL. And if that happens things will happen I am sure. But if not, well, it will not be the first nor the last time I have been wrong.

So to me it is not bold to think someone will be wrong. It happens all the time. Also and by the way I think we are going to win the CL. This team from the first moment I watched them play this season spoke to me of confidence and potency. There is something very different about them. What that translates into we will see but Inzaghi has done a world class job building them into what they are and he deserves what is coming.

Yeah whilst Mourinho's situation was one thing. We all kinda knew it.

With Simone, if the CL comes I'll be bitter if he abandons ship. Even if it's for the Italy job which I imagine he dreamt of.

Simone has found a home here, I think that's how he feels. And that's how we started to feel as well, at least based on the last 12 months because prior to that almost everyone wanted his head and called him a loser

If Simone wins us a CL, it means he can win another. And I want that. He can be our Ancelotti. If he wants to build a great legacy here and reaches a point of saturation and wants to try coaching historic clubs like Real Madrid or Liverpool, so be it. But it's not that day yet.

(I'm still not overly confident of getting past Atletico, it'll be a gruesome affair and we wouldn't have seen anything like it in the last 6 years of returning to Europe)
