anyway, this is a retarded argument, he's one of the best players we've signed in the last decade. If your lack of understanding of football doesnt go beyond 'BUT MAH GOALZ' then theres no point even discussing it.

For what its worth, I dont think this is a STELLAR eriksen performance - I'd say it like a 6.5/7 out of 10 for his level, but its been a really good game for him to show what he does, and for people to appreciate how much more he could give if utilised properly.

Goals has nothing todo with it. Sanchez is our best player and he has missed alot of sitters. Eriksen contributes nothing and he is a liability in defense. Cant afford to start him vs teams that can actually attack, Roma for example.

Mostly good all around. Brozovic and Lautaro looked pretty lackluster, but worked hard.

you're the sort of guy who would sell Pirlo for not being dynamic enough in midfield.

Why do you think he didnt start the last few games? Because we had fucking Gagliardini and off-form Brozovic and Valero in midfield. Yeah, he's not right for that sort of game. With Barella and hopefully Tonali, Eriksen is EXACTLY what we need.

Expecting Eriksen to contribute defensively is literally retarded. It's like Roy Hogdson playing Roberto Carlos in midfield.

Eriksen contributed two hockey assists tonight. His attacking passes, vision, and long balls are absolutely incredible. If you dont appreciate that, I go back to my original point, that you dont really understand football.

It's fine, the art of finesse with that is not the most obvious thing - but its the most important thing. There was a great moment where Valero picked up the ball in a DM-ish position, tried to pass it out to RWB and it got intercepted. That's EXACTLY the sort of stuff that has meant we slow down our attacks 'just in case', because we have no confidence in our passing abilities.

With Eriksen, that ball would have met its target. Like it did probably 95-98% of the match. And most of them creating good opportunities.
If you had someone instead of Eriksen, those crosses would have been overhit, those passes would have been intercepted or misplaced. They wouldnt have resulted in goals.

THATS the big difference. 6 inches further forward, it goes out of play. 6 inches back, we dont break away as well as we like. 6 inches too high, Young doesnt get the ball to cross it back to Gags so easily. 6 inches too low, it gets intercepted. Same goes for Sanchez' goal - that pass was picture perfect for Biraghi to send it in. A bit further forwards or a bit further back, and it wouldnt have worked. Tempo was CRITICAL there.

Inches matter, thats why Pirlo was so world class.

gags aside, we dont deserve it. we lost both matches to Juve. Juve have taken their foot off the gas slightly - dont believe for a second if we were close to them, they'd have lost ot Milan for example, or drawn with Sass.

I dont think Conte is perfect or anywhere near that, but finally we won't have a heart attack in the end of the season. We secured CL spot, we are six points from 1st place and this is the first time since 08/09 we reached the 70+ points limit. Conte, just like Eriksen, have earned the right to get patience, time and support from the mgmt and from us the fans.

I’m really impressed with Candreva’s goal. From Bastoni’s long pass, to Lautaro’s control, to Biraghi’s pass, to Lautaro again telling Sanchez to pass the ball to Candreva who then scored, instead of asking the ball for himself.

Strange feeling to watch Inter on my birthday. Normally I'm on vacation relaxing instead of winding myself up in front of the TV. That being said, Skriniar will score at least 2 goals and plays like the beast he was before Conte arrived and show everyone it would be a big mistake to sell one of the best defenders in the world.
