I am watching Villareal - Barcelona game and that Yamal kid is killing it. He is a left footed winger playing on the right really good cutting in.
There have been quite a few "new Messi" but none had the consistency even tho they did have good to great starts.

There's hype and then there's genuine club hype for a player. The 'next Messi' moniker has been a media creation from Gai Assulin to Gerard Deulofeu or Dongou, all of them have been headlines that are not true reflections of what club believe much less fans

Ansu & Lamine have similar trajectories, the big difference is that Lamine actually progressed faster & more impressively in youth categories before 15. The closest comparison in terms of footballing trajectory, no question it's Lamine but he bears only a couple of similarities to Messi - ridiculous left foot and flair to pull off the improbable. Else they are very different profile of player to one another nevermind no one is the next Messi

Some bear similarities in playing style to Leo even if they are far from his level but Lamine is closer in playing style to Neymar. I feel very confident that if he stays healthy, he will mark an era at Barca as well as be a BdO candidate soon

There was similar unrealistic hype for some midfielders as well who expected to be new Xavi or new Iniesta. Probably the most striking examples are Alena and Riqui Puig who never really lived up to the hype.

That's from the outside of the club

No one has touted anyone as the next Xavi, Messi, Iniesta etc. Puig has never been hailed as next anything but of course everyone who follows the club loves him because he plays in the style we crave

Of course there is an assembly line of midfielders to watch develop & potentially break out but equally there is always several players at every youth level that are touted. Some make the jump to greatness, some don't and fade away, some become pro footballers elsewhere and the rarest thrive at Barca. Right now the current squad has 12 cantera players in the senior team - Gavi, Balde & Lamal are bonafide WC talent.

We're sure to see more Barcelona Golden Boy winners

Really crazy the Ramos presentation, thousands of people screaming.
Only the Ultras (a group named Biris) don't accept him, but the usual Sevillista yes.

He couldn't care less about Sevilla entier his career. And now, when he is 37yo and can't go anywhere else, he "came back". He could at least go to Sevilla after RM if he has some feelings about the club. But no, he chose millions from PSG.
I don't know who is more pathetic. "Fans" or Sergio.

Till today, I hate this shit from Valencia (i forgot his name). Came from nowhere, Punched like a bitch, and then run away. I'm so sorry that nobody caught him.
I don't know why Inter ultras are friends with Valencia ultras. I hate that club since this game.

Agreed, he should have went to Sevilla 2 years ago on a free transfer, already made plenty of cash in Madrid.
The only nice thing is now that he rejected Arabia and MLS money to go back, but with 37 he may only have 1, 2 max years of decent football.

So they will have two head coaches? Revolutionary!
