Yup, he hasn't been the same player since the injury. Fairly understandable given he was rushed back once already, and it seemed to be somewhat serious given it took months for him to start a game. In fact, I'm not even sure he would be starting at this point if Vecino/Gagliardini were available.

Hes supposed to be just a backup, but going on three years, we cant seem to find someone who can replace him. Hes a good passer, with great understanding of the game.

He is good, just lacks the precision he had. We probably cannot rely on him, but he brings quality to the team. I can imagine him and Eriksen as super substitution partners. One can dictate tempo and hold the ball better, the other one brings more dynamics into the play. So just by 1 substitution you change style of play.
