we don't really have lot of players that are capable of being a goal threat on every match - why? because we lack a real creator. Guarin is definately capable if he has space and gets the ball to just shoot - but usually he is the one who has the ball in attack anyway. And as we know, usually he fucks up. He fucks up a lot. But when he doesn't, he usually scores a nice goal.

For Alvarez it's hard to say how would he perform, because he was never used in one position for a long time. We saw everything from CM, AM, WB, Winger and SS from him. We know his pluses and limitations, but it's hard to say in what position he would play best. He is definately not comparable to how Di Maria, Hazard or Mata are capable of creating chances for themselves, and also far from CR or Bale. I wouldn't count on him to score from free kicks either. So he's kinda so-so, just like Guarin.

Hernanes is definately a goal threat, but he isn't sure of himself on the SS or AM position. He is like Guarin, just that he doesn't complicate when it comes to shooting and call also score with both legs.

Kovačić looks better with his shooting or at least it looks like he made some progress from last season. Still has no luck since he usually shoots into the wall or hits one of his own. Decision making is not one of his best traits. You just have to hope Mazzarri can mold him into a player that can score goals.

No need to mention Palacio, Icardi or Osvaldo. They are our strikers and they also have to know that sometimes they will have to create something for themselves, otherwise Inter will keep trying from the wings or by Guarin, the fucker (coined by after match reports). Creator of chances missing for them and also nobody seems to possess the tenacity and intelligent play that Milito had. Maybe Osvaldo will, but he is another risky player we brought this summer.

Everything that is left are Rano and Vidić on the corners, and Jono and Nagatomo - who are very involved in our attack.

Not a lot of quality firepower up front as far as I see it.
