I have close to zero expectations for this guy. But at the same time it is almost a zero risk transfer. We can sell him for the same amount if he flops.

We will see. Good luck Tajon! Hope you are a ‘Bisseck’!
Exactly my thoughts. Kind of hard not to trust Marotta and company. I have a good feeling about this transfer. Do us proud Tajon :interflag:

Didn't research but looking at Toronto FC who have been signing former Serie A players, I thought football is growing in Canada, no? Looked like they were following suit on the USA's football development strategy. To raise a player like Davies - not many countries where football is #1 can do that.
Most Canadians I know are bandwagon football fans. They raved when Giovinco was here and tore apart MLS. It will have to take Canadian teams to consistently be on top I guess to get some fractions.

I find it very confusing how spanish-speaking/Chilean media sees this transfer as a threat to Alexis’s future, when the guy is very obviously brought in as a replacement for Cuadrado. Makes me realize how clueless the media can be, simply following and copying what other outlets say instead of doing their own research

Alexis is the biggest threat to Alexis's future.

Don't all Canadians love Manchester United and England because they think they are English? Id rather have signed another young Italian.

Football is definitely growing in Canada. Our national team is soooo much better than years past. And the interest is there as well. But it’s still seen as niche sport compared to ice hockey, American football, basketball and even baseball. Football will eventually replace baseball though. It’s an old persons sport and is slowly dying.

Many Canadians have English, Scottish or Irish descent. Usually going back several generations tbh. English is our national language (except in Quebec) so therefore it’s easier for people to get behind the top English clubs, which are generally seen as the best in the world.

Buchanan playing for Inter probably won’t do a lot for the club amongst Canadians unless he really tears it up. Even then, it wouldn’t be front page news.

Anyways, as a Canadian who’s loved this club for over 20 years, this is a proud moment for me. A day I’d never thought I would see.

Forza Inter!
Forza Tajon!

Canada is as diverse as they come, so generalizations don't usually work lol

Considering we just used our non EU spot with this guy we should have some expectation from him.
