I would put Chiellini or Kompany ahead of Van Dijik, and de Gea ahead of Casillas. No complaints otherwise.

Van Dijk doesn't belong there. He's unlucky because his peak is at the end of a decade cycle and he probably won't be around further than 2022 at that level.

I think Chiellini or even Godin should be there instead.

Iker Casillas shouldn't be there either. It has to be Neuer. And Handanovic is actually in the discussion but his issue is lack of CL exposure. Lloris perhaps deserves a shout here as well but it's Neuer's spot hands down.

I'm strong against the CB choices and GK choices.

I would've gone with Thiago Silva which is a fucking must, Handanovic/Neuer, Puyol/Hummels

Indeed, Thiago Silva deserves to be considered there. Van Dijk has only been relevant for 18 months this decade.

Almost all of them have played in Spain.

And I don't think 3 seasons at Southampton made them pick Van Dijk and he barely had 2 seasons at Liverpool after that in this decade.

Philip Lahm is the only real exception here. And he could have been omitted for Dani Alves.
