I didn't understand anything there Zoro.

One Piece isn't addicting for me like Naruto. After the first episode of Naruto I was immeditly addicted but I've watched the 10 first episodes of One Piece and its boring for me. Atleast I found Bleach which atleast has a interesting start. Lets see where it takes me.

 Sad times. But at least you gotta give Hunter x Hunter or Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood a go.

Saw the first episode of Jojo's a year ago, I was bored. Then I started watching Gintama, which is probably best described as being the Deadpool of anime. Constant 4th wall breaking, making fun out of cliches, some world class referencing (mostly, Dragonball, Naruto, Gundam, One Piece, Bleach) and it has a lot of relatable characters. Funny how it treats it's own filler episodes, I just might like them more than the story arcs. I'll upload a scene or two for those interested.

Yeah not gunna lie I've attempted Jojos a couple of times and both times I couldn't pass episode 4. But I always hear part one is the least interesting and you just gotta go past the first 11/12 episodes. Then it's a masterpiece. If nothing else it's memeable as hell

I guess I'll give Jojo another chance, but 3 hours of meh at the start is bad juju for me.

Clearly I can't give a better recommendation than this Death Note knockoff episode

I should probably give it a chance too really it really does look campy/funny. And I hear it has one of the best battle systems in a manga/anime. Also I need to get back into Gintama been years since I watched it.

I loved Netflix French horror series Marianne.

BBC's new thriller miniseries The Capture is also superb.

You gotta realize one thing. One Piece is a show about world building/exploration, but is seen through the eyes of a 17 year old who knows very little about that world and is not interested in learning "about" it but wants to experience it first hand. It seems boring now, because almost nothing is revealed "about" the world. You are seeing it from Luffy's perspective. As the plot progresses, the countless layers of complexity are revealled and the entire story is put into perspective.

So yes, at the beginning the first 10 episodes don't even put a minor dent on what the show's about. They're not even out of East Blue yet, which is probably like 5% of the total show.

If you're too lazy, watch Episode of East Blue, Episode of Alabasta, and Episode of Skypeia, which cover the first 200-300 chapters in a few hours. They're well made. Though the real "bang" is the Marineford arc, 3-4 arcs after those.

Just finished carnival Row on amazon prime. Took a couple of episodes to get really going I thought but was really good, I'd recommend.

Look, I'm a self-confessed Goddamn otaku. I read the big 3 (Naruto, One Piece, Bleach) quite religiously, re-reading the manga and re-watching the anime a few times. (Except for Bleach after it went downhill)

I used to think that Naruto is the best, but One Piece is kinda like Game of Thrones. It builds up the stories slowly and slowly but it reached to a point where it's the undisputed king of shonen manga, perhaps of all time. Be patient and just continue on. The first hundred episodes or so is very cartoonish & kiddish but at a certain point of time, shit will hit the fan and epicness ensues.

A tip: Use onepace.net whenever possible, it cuts down all the filler scene and episodes. (But you only need this after episode like...325 or something)

=========================

One Piece aside, watching Money Heist from Netflix now (La Casa del Papal or something). Pretty nice.

And have you guys seen El Camino? What do you think?

Yeah, I've seen One Piece being compared to GoT on more than one occasion, but it doesn't seem that way in the beginning, because the layers are added one by one, and you're not just thrown into the midst of it. If you're into shows like Naruto, DBZ, Fairy Tail, or HxH, you're doing yourself a disservice by not watching One Piece, because its length has led to world building that none of those others managed.

For anyone also reading the manga, One Piece was at #1 trending worldwide on Twitter 1-2 chapters ago, for a chapter where the main character wasn't even mentioned or shown once. The amount of characters and locations is insane.

Fucking HBO. They've been hyping "Watchmen" for months. I watch it and it has almost nothing to do with the Watchmen. Just some SJW crap about White Supremacy.

What a fucked up cash grab...Just using the name for clickbait.

I'm shitting on it, because they're trying to use the Watchmen brand to get views, while having almost nothing to do with them. If they called it something else, at least there wouldn't be false expectations. I kept my HBO subscription after GoT over the summer, just for this.

FBI agent is Lori the Silk Spectre
the old guy is the villain of the original comic.
the squid rain is from the actual ending of the comic
they reference Dr. Manhattan and its only 50 minutes in the series
the black ladys husband is Black Manta from the Aquaman movie :)

I didn't like how it started then googled it and that SHIT FKING ACTUALLY HAPPENED !!! In REAL LIFE !!

Slow start but were you guys fans of Game of Thrones after 1 ep? What happens? a Fat king goes to meet his old friend. His wife is bitchy, the friend doesn't want to go with the fat king. They find a few dogs........ there is a midget banging a whore... .well you see boobs thats always cool I guess.

What did I spoil? Got or watchmen?

A.) just said what happens in the begging happened in real life. That could be anything
B.) who two characters are is widely known
C) is The actress cast as Selina Kyle being also Catwoman a spoiler?
D) squid rain? How is that a spoiler it’s just from a sci-fi show. The ending to the movie and comic are different

Again 1st poster was bitching it’s not anything to do with the comic.
