can't believe people are more bothered about the game. Fk that.

ur seriously saying if the same thing happened to an inter fan ud give more about the game being cancelled than the life of the fan? that's fked up.

also, when a cop gets killed they stop games for 2 weeks.. when a fan gets killed its 'obviously' their fault

"you" as in who??the police?u mean the lazio fan wanted to kill the cop??whatever he wanted to do nobody has the right to kill him.okay,so they were having a fight,u as a cop stop the fight, ban them or dunno what, but don't f**** shoot him...misfired??wtf is that?u shoot a warning shot in the AIR no towards someone...i'm not stupid and i think it's cristal clear that that wasn't an 'accident"...

I agree the whole 'warning shot' sounds riduclous, however its possible the police officer shot the man with the intention to harm him (and protect himself), but not kill him. Says its some rookie cop who's never been confronted before, no amount of training is going to prepare you for that type of enivornment. You say a guy coming at you (maybe he's got a weapon) in a rage, first thing you do is pull out your gun an blam. The whole thing is a blur, but you did what you did to protect yourself. However, cops are getting in $hit all the time for 'excessive force' (and in reality, if the rest of Italy found out that thats what happened, there would be riots at every game), so they pass it off as an accident.

As I said before though, the issue isnt the cops. Its the morons who decided to fight. The attacked a small group of Juve fans, this wasnt an organised clash. If two groups of fans organise a time and a place to go at it, then let them. If they get hurt (or, God forbid, killed) its their own fault. They know what they're getting themselves into. However, attacking a group of travelling fans (who, from reports, were minding their own business) is bull$hit. There could have been women, children or unsuspecting families amoung the fans who had no intention of fighting anyone, but wanted to support their team.

The fact that atalanta and milan ultras are fighting police, when they hate eachother and both hate Lazio says all!

True, but this stupid things happen in Italy when it comes to cops...and f**** if they want to stop these kinda things...there are rubber bullets or other ways of stopping them,i dunno,i ain't no expert but we're in the 21st century for f*** sake...not shooting them with real bullets whatever their intenion might seem to be or is.

English rules..bla bla bla.

The beautiful English rules now ensure that fights between hooligans are fought far away from the stadium and the police conveniently ignores the fight. But the fight still happens.

This incident happened far away from the stadium, almost fitting into the 'English rule' and look what happened...

A guy is killed and all you care about is that you cannot sit in front of the TV watching a game... SHAME ON YOU

people on the forums are more a bunch of morons than any of the ultras.. at least theyre true fans, not popcorn armchair fans like a great majority on here who are quick to talk when they know nothing..

only a few people on here understand the rivalries, the true emotions in italy. maybe u should all (minus the few) learn about these things before talking shite

also.. u all talk about english model when it doesnt effect u, if uv actually been to the stadium then maybe comment, but if u havent, what the hell do u know. I've been there between 80 & 100 times, and not once been in danger. To be honest i've had the best times of my life there just how it is.

This is the fault of the police and nobody else

Prove it...

Seriously, we're gonna hear 100s of stories of what happened this morning, 99% of which will be utter lies. For all we know some ultra has said this in the hope of increasing tensions between police and fans. Or maybe he really was, and the policeman is guilty of murder. No one really knows until some hard evidence is brought forward.

I'm not defending the actions of the police either, just giving a possible scenario of what happened. I do believe that the use of firearms to disarm people who are unarmed is completely unjust.

Gazzetta wrote that he was sitting in his Megane, from what I know.

After Catania they stopped two weeks of football... However, to be fair, one is a policeman doing his job on riot duty killed in a clash outside the stadium... Slightly different scenarios in my mind

Nonetheless, RIP the guy, I'm sorry to hear he died.
