Figured we need a general Inter thread in the general Inter subforum to help avoid going off topic in every other thread and nobody really uses the OT forum to talk about Inter related stuff. So no Materazzi or Busquets talk in Eriksen thread, no Juventus or Milan talk in random Inter player threads etc and generally it would also help the mods and users to have a place to send all the derailed talks to from other threads. I guess this will end up being a more of a general football thread with Inter being the focal point rather than the exclusive, but it beats reading about Barcelona's transfer news in Lautaro's thread.

So what about kicking of the discussion by saying that we miss Inter ruining our weekends, Chiellini is a cunt, Busquets is a crybaby and Juventus is a criminal organization? :)

I usually find these kind of videos annoying, but this one is just too good to ignore for that 2nd goal reaction alone :D

Not sure this is the right thread for this but i didn't know where else to post it.

Ex-Arsenal & Perugia Striker Jay Bothroyd: “Inter Wanted To Sign Me, Ivan Cordoba Toughest Defender I’ve Faced”

Former Arsenal youth team and England international striker Jay Bothroyd has revealed that Inter were interested in signing him in January of 2004, during his stint at Perugia.

Speaking to The Italian Football Podcast, the former Cardiff City striker revealed that the Nerazzurri inquired about him but then Perugia President Luciano Gaucci scared Inter off by slapping a “ridiculous” price tag on him.

Bothroyd, who currently plays for Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo in the Japanese top flight, J1 League, continued that he was annoyed at the time when Gaucci told him about it.

Inter were interested in Bothroyd as Brazilian striker Adriano was co-owned with and played for Parma at the time and the Nerazzurri couldn’t bring him to the club in January.

“No-one really knows this but it was the winter transfer window [in 2004], Inter had many injuries. Adriano was at Parma at the time and they inquired about me.

“Gaucci said some ridiculous number to them and that got shut down straight away [laughs]. I was really pissed off about it at the time, cause it was Inter.

“But he [Gaucci] told me about it as well in a kind of way that was like ‘haha we just rejected a bid’, and I remember thinking ‘you what? You just rejected a bid from Inter’ [laughs]. But Gaucci wanted to keep me at Perugia.”

The former Arsenal youth team player also revealed that former Nerazzurri defender Ivan Cordoba is the toughest defender he has ever played against, next to AC Milan’s legendary captain Paolo Maldini.

“Toughest defender I played against? Maldini and Ivan Cordoba. He was about 5 foot 10 but he had a spring that was amazing. And he was quick and super aggressive.

“When the ball was down the other end he was pinching my back and just aggravating me, and he was really nasty to play against.

“I remember it well, I hated playing against him. We played against them a couple of times that season and he was really nasty to play against. And obviously Maldini, he is one of the best ever.”

Someone asked me for this list and these are all the names I could come up with. Players who have played for Inter, Juve & Milan. Were there any others?

Meazza
Baggio
Serena
Vieri
Vieira
Davids
Ibrahimovic
Pirlo
Bonucci

Take Prada out of that and I'd buy one.

On a side note, doesn't discussion about a topic lead to many discussions which is the beauty of a forum? Also is the idea to merge/move posts from threads over here? Because if not won't that still happen? Or is it just that more people will come here and post about it? Sorry mate am pretty baked and have 100 questions, only asked 4 though.

The idea is to just to avoid having off topic discussions everywhere and also having a place to ask things or post things that do not fit somewhere else and do not deserve their own thread.

Eat your Greggs and ask the other 96 questions :)

I feel like you've made this thread in an attempt to thwart me making the "The General Inter Greggs Thread" which is probably what this thread should've been called!!

For those who don't know, Greggs is Inter related due to it being the (un)OFFICIAL sponsor of Inter matchdays and more importantly the victories and I hope still the Whatsapp group too!

The lack of Polish players is the most surprising thing to me. That, and I'm blanking on what Russians ever played here.
