Hi guys, I have a question for those of you who live in major football cities like Milan, Madrid, London, etc. How were the players treated by their own fans and rival fans when they crossed each other on the street? Will the fans respect their privacy? Or will they gather around the player, causing a crowd to come? As for the rival fans, how will they react when they see the icon of their rival team? For example, if an Interista saw Maldini or Sheva on the street. Will they curse or jeer at him? Ignore him? Or to the extreme, physically abuse him?

Well here are some well documented rivalries in England -

Tottenham fans to Sol Campbell
Charlton fans to Scott Parker
Portsmouth fans to Southampton fans/players
Southampton fans to Portsmouth fans/players
Everton fans to Wayne Rooney
Leeds fans to Harry Kewell

They are the ones that immediately come to mind but there are more.

I'm positive that in Leeds there are snipers ready on rooftops just in case Alan Smith dares going back!

Jokes aside, I think in Milan the fans are very respectful, they might joke with players but no more than that.

Things could be different in Rome, where there's a lot less respect beween Roma and Lazio fans.

Fabio, I'm not asking for some rivalries but about them. How will the Evertonians react if they see Wayne Rooney on the streets, for example? Hey, since you're living in London, perhaps you know how does the Spurs fans react if they see Sol Campbell on the streets?

Well whenever Arsenal and Tottenham meet,there are regular banners from Spurs fans saying ''Judas,Judas''.

Lots of taunts have been written on Liverpool streets threatening Wayne Rooney and his family.
