Man, if only I had one meeting with these guys, I'd probably walk away with a couple of billion$... How can these people be so naive?

They are not. That's why they earned billions. Naive people do not.

Lol, you really wanna go there? :troll:

Anyway, getting publicly spanked by an employee and then telling him it's okay to keep this cooperation going is not the way to show you're a competent business man. And that's because this was not a competent business man doing the work, it was just his kid.

Papa Zhang does not seem to be in sync with everything that happens at Inter besides pouring money via sponsorships for his son's plaything which is Inter. If he is serious about Inter, he'll show it. Best way to do this is by formally going for Lionel Messi. These little games with flights to China, Skype/Zoom meetings and nonsense where his kid is somehow the boss of this club aren't going to cut it.

I didn't say successful people are NEVER naive. There is a bit of that in all of us. The amount of that is what matters.

If you think a guy who owns as huge business as that, that grown so much over the recent years is naive like a Joe on the corner, then be my guess. You can believe whatever you want.

What I wrote is quite clear and it implies none of what your post says. Maybe read it again?

I'll repeat and rephrase. Zhang Sr is the real boss here. But he's letting his kid run the show. His kid isn't some great businessman, but his dad is probably grooming him to be some important figure in the political scene of China, maybe even ruler of the country. He's building a resume.

If they are serious about Inter, he'll treat Inter as a core part of their business. So far we've seen them back off from investments apart from the initial flukes (Joao Mario & Gabriel Barbosa), stopped when the restrictions of China came (which blocked our move for Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal and Arturo Vidal from Bayern) and then completely played along with the FFP. They do have ambitions and I appreciate what they've done, but they also need to show that they can take it up a notch and reach the top. The first indication of this weird pre-season is that they don't really give a fuck. I hope this is just nothing in the grand scheme and they end up bringing Messi or at least 2 top players. This isn't the time to sit back and relax, we need to attack Serie A with all our power. Listening to Conte whine and then patting him on the back is not going to do the trick.

And truth is, Zhang Sr has not shown up in a long while and that was before the whole Covid bullshit.

To you keeping Conte means "they don't really give a fuck". To me it's quite contrary. Plain and simple. Our opinions are totally oposite of what we think the club is doing. You think it's close to armagedon, while I think something contrary. The problem for you is that our stance is the same pretty much since the day they announced Marotta as our DS and the results of the season are in, and they back me up, not you.

Just like I've said getting rid of icardi means they mean business, while you thought it's amatourish hour all over again. History judged that, and history will judge Conte staying.

I wish you well, but I wouldn't keep my fingers crossed if I were you.

Yes, I see having an erratic coach that throws tantrums every third week of the month, demanding big roster changes - some of them that don't even make sense and are a complete waste of money or will be cause for regret - as someone who is not part of a viable plan for the club's future.

The fact that our management has managed to not come ahead of this situation is alarming. It's mostly due to not materializing an agreement to cancel the contract, which makes it even worse. You have a demotivated coach, paid 11m a year, and a management that's either very willing to motivate him by sacrifising important roster pieces or unwilling to do anything he wants, which means he'll whine even more despite having better players under his control.

There's nothing exciting about Conte staying. Had he left and that 30+ million total cost of his remaining contract and we opted for someone else to take things from here, we'd be in a far better situation even if it's very short notice.

I wonder what you'll be saying if Conte decides to leave within the next 3 months or keeps saying shit in public...

While it would be nice to see them blow their brains out that's not how billionaires build successful businesses. Over the last few seasons we have had one of the higher transfer spends in the world and we have spent more than teams that make much higher revenues than us. In fact I would say our spending has not been proportionate to our revenues at all. They have also invested in training grounds and headquarters and are trying to build a stadium. I'm not really sure what more you expect.

Where did I say anything about money invested? I said they've deceased that and it's true. They haven't been very active apart from their first season and last season. We'll see how this season goes. Hopefully they keep it up. Of course they are the main reason why we've returned to relevance, but it's still not good enough.

My concern is about what Inter is to them, how seriously they want the club to come to the top [honestly, don't give a flying fuck about their reasoning as long as they pursue it], and how they manage the club on a day to day basis.

Zhang Sr has probably gone to Milano less times than me since 2018. And we've had a shitload of reasons to have our major shareholder around in the past 20 months.

Well in fairness to him, Steven zhang looks like he loves inter and Milano, and he is going to get all that sweet inheritance some day.
With FFP suning can't directly invest too much and after their first disaster mercato I'm glad they are just trusting those at the club.

Nah, man that sounds like a bunch of cop-outs to me. Ffp, chinese government restrictions, they work slowly, they need time.... All excuses in my head. As i v said earlier they need to do something to show some intent to distinguish themselves from just good owners. I think it's time.

I still have a bad taste in my mouth from those promises when they first came, us being linked to top players and then suddenly chinese government restrictions made an appearance.

And i m not talking about messi, just a general vibe, even bringing big sponsors would vastly improve my view of them. We are expecting those since they bought the club.

But Suning never needed any excuses. They took over 4 years ago, back then we had Eder, Melo, Medel, Juan Jesus... in the squad. Now after 4 years, we have Skriniar, Eriksen and Alexis Sanchez on the fucking bench, what more can you ask?

People always want a rich, ambitous yet professional and financially responsible owner while keeping the moral highground of not having to rely on oil money. And Suning is as good as we can hope for.

How is Suning doing as a company? They are an online electronics retailer correct? You would think they would be killing it right now.

The online retailer is just Suning.com. Suning Holdings, the parent company, has a lot of other subsidiaries.

hm

Suning own PPTV, apparently, who have had their TV rights agreement with the premiership terminated effective IMMEDIATELY after non-payment of £160m, which was due in March.

Given the news we're hearing about non-payment of Jiansu salaries, no investment in Inter, withdrawal of sponsorship agreements, and now this... Part of me is wondering if Suning might be another Enron and actually they're broke A F?
