I have to say after watching Motta last year I am very excuited about this signing. In fact, the only possible thing that can go wrong- if he is injured. If he is not injured, he will be a star for us.
The only negative which hit me at first...we are not getting a gerrard, or another big time star...i was very very disappointed at first..i was like motta!!! but results speak louder than reputations..so i am slowly won over

I just assume that 2 way midfielder is playing more in attack- Lampard/Gerard, while CMs(Motta, Melo) spend more time defending and usually attack in second wave. Of course, it's an IMHO.

Why sub for Cruz? Rather replacement for Cruz/Crespo/Adriano. And 13 million for Motta is ok transfer for current market situatioon.
