What a hilariously shit game.
We "recovered" from our poor streak with an emphatic win over Salernitana, with Lautaro also getting back in the goals in a big way. We followed that up by finally winning a big game, that too, the single most difficult match this season, against Liverpool at Anfield.
So, for the team to do a complete 180 and come out like that today is just unacceptable and I put the blame squarely on Limetti.
For one the starting lineup was a joke and it exposed Limone's inexperience at a championship contending level. We had 4 days of rest following the Liverpool game, so why the fuck did he start Darmian over Dumfries? Now is not the time to rotate you stupid motherfucker. Darmian has been shit for a few months anyway. Vidal had one of his best 3 games in an Inter shirt, and yes, he's old and probably tired, but you still need to start with him, especially with Brozovic out. Take him out later if needed.
The decision to start Vecino as our Brozovic replacement (and play him the full 90 minutes) was simply shocking. It was like having a new girlfriend and seeing some alarm-bell behaviour that makes you reconsider them.
The fact that the team came out so flat following the supposedly morale-boosting win at Anfield goes to show the inability of the coach to get the players heads right. This was the same match as the loss against Sassuolo. With Milan going +5 in the table, the players needed to start strong, simply hold it together and weather the initial storm. Instead, the did the exact opposite.
His half-time subs were also fucking dismal. He damaged himself by starting with the wrong XI. He then ruined it further by wasting two subs on players who didn't need to be subbed off, in favor of two dickheads who did absolutely nothing to change the game. We needed Dumfries to come on instead of Darmian, but we had no subs left because we wasted them on stupid shit.
