As much as I hate their arrogant delusional fans, they indeed have every right to be confident about thrashing us. Basically, every football team on this earth does have every reason to be optimistic in beating us because we are one fucking volatile random team. We can put on a performance worthy of winning a CL final in one match, then suddenly play like the under-12 girl team of a special needs school in the following game against a relegation zone team of the 7th division Ugandan amateur league and lose 0-4 with 0 shot on target while getting dominated all game.

Agreed, we're not third by a fluke, we can grind out wins against smaller teams but when it comes to a big games we usually step up.

Tottenham fans are completely clueless about us and are probably judging Inter on the first game, let them, it's fine, I'm sure Pocchettino and co. aren't stupid enough to do that. I just hope they go out and attack us and then end up falling on their collective arses.

In other news Wikipedia says it's goal difference that counts:

Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams;

Oh and do any historians I'm looking at Brehme (who is an actual antique :p) know whether Inter has ever played at Wembley before?

If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches,
the following criteria are applied in the order given to determine their rankings:
a. higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the
teams in question;
b. superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in
question;
c. higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams
in question;
d. higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played
among the teams in question;
e. if, after having applied criteria a) to d), teams still have an equal ranking,
criteria a) to d) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the teams in
question to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a
decision, criteria f) to l) apply;

From UEFA rulebook

So it's H2H and then GD.

And plus if we lose by one goal, our goal difference would still be better than Spurs.

We can't lose 1-0. That will give them away goal. If we lose 3-2, that's almost like a draw :D

It depends on how much they pay Infantino and Čeferin.

Should be a comfortable win. They're a chavvy pub team. Still livid we lost to them in Milan.

Play like we did vs Chelsea - with energy, desire, and aggression - and we'll dick them.

Here we go , another classic from Spuds people after some 20 pints down the throat.

Ah dear, should watch who they’re calling a chavvy pub team when they’ve got Eric Dier in their starting 11. Saying that, my sister met him and he’s apparently a lovely guy :lol:

Getting real excited now.

Fucking hate the whole english football community. Always thinking they are the best, best league and so on. Hope we fucking trash them at the fucking Wembley stadium.

We have the better team, my only fear is whether Spalletti goes for a draw and park the bus... Fuck these english idiots.

I'm actually afraid that we're too rigid in Spaletti's possession play mentality and can't park the bus if we need to.

Why the hell should we park the bus against tottenham? Maybe it's a terminology thing but I do not advocate for parking the bus. We can be smart strategically without totally compromising our mentality, which is win every game and do it as close as we can to "our" way. We can try to change our tempo more to include faster attacks. We could commit less players forward so as not to be too exposed on the counter. We should absolutely try to counter their main creative weapon (eriksen) with man-marking. Or be very physical against dele with vecino.

But we shouldn't just park the bus. At least not this season and not in this kind of game. This season is about building the mentality of our team and players; that we belong on this stage and can absolutely play at this level against any opponent. We may take a hit here and there this season, but instilling that mentality is very important for subsequent seasons.

Tactics are meaningless if the players don't actually believe it will work or that they will win......
