2 qualifying rounds, not only one sadly... this means 2-3 weeks earlier start of the season and a longer, more difficult season to have (AND an even shorter period of vacation for the players in EURO2012) :(

Great match... and I agree with SKY, the MOM was Stankovič. But nonetheless, I do not want to see Cambiasso and him together on the pitch at the same time... good performance by Guarin too.

We wouldn't have to play 2 qualifying matches, we would be in the play-off just like Bayern Munich was this season. They played a 2-leg fixture against Zurich and progressed to the Group Stage with a 3-0 agg win.

I didn't see it, (needed to sleep) but sounds good to see they won. I know Friuli has always been a tough place to play for us.

Udenise has always been interns jinx for many years, and this win is so important for moral boosting.

Wesley's second goal is almost a copy cat from his goal vs Barcelona. The very similar pass made by Milito.

Damn, missed this match completely. Thought it was an evening match.

Well, goddamn they got a fine result! Sneijder back with a vengeance!

Excellent game by our midfielders, specially Sneijder, Stankovic and Cambiasso - they won this tough away game for us. Guarin & Alvarez showed some decent glimpses of talent too.

Great move by Strama, playing Alvarez & Sneijder behind Milito - dropping Zarate must have been tough, but was tactically very useful to have another midfielder (Guarin) to counter Unidese's strong midfield.

An update on the CL spot race, with 4 games to go: (the points won in the last 2 games in brackets)...

55 - Lazio (1)
54 - Napoli (6)
52 - Inter (4)
52 - Udinese (1)
50 - Roma (0)

The remaining games (home games in bold):
Lazio --> Udinese - Siena - Atalanta - Inter
Udinese --> Lazio - Cesena - Genoa - Catania
Roma --> Napoli - Chievo - Catania - Cesena
Napoli --> Roma - Palermo - Bologna - Siena
Inter --> Cesena - Parma - Milan - Lazio

Napoli have done fantastically, and still have the easiest run in. If they beat Roma in the next game, I would say they are as good as through to the CL. Inter have closed down the difference as well, excellent win today at Udinese, and now surprisingly find themselves in Europa League spots. If Napoli falter, Inter have a slim chance of making the CL spot, but only if we win our last 4 games, which is a big ask.

I think Roma's chances of qualifying for the CL are over, same with Udinese who are running out of steam. Its still all up for grabs.

Stramaccioni Watch: 11/15 points. Not bad.

I just love that Sneijder did all this, cuz now people can STFU about "he doesn't care about the club anymore" bullshit. He's straight class but was being misused time after time again, now he's sexy as can be and the team looks gorgeous.

Does anyone have a download link for the full match?
I wasn't able to watch past the first 20 minutes or so.
Really want to watch our win tonight.

Sneijder didn't lob it though... i thought Milito used his right foot while facing Sneijder against Barcelona.

The difference is Handanovic tried to close Sneijder while Valdes didn't because Valdes was shocked that Sneijder was left alone. If Handanovic didn't close up to Sneijder, Sneijder would have shoot it. But, the build up is very similar.

I agree, I've said two matchdays ago this was Napoli's CL spot to lose, seems everyday closer to this.

But at the same time, today was a really great deal to making at least to EL (and in this we must stay ahead of Udinese and Roma).

ZANETTI!
Bologna have been on an unbeaten run for the last 4 games so hopefully they can bring that form to Napoli.
