It wasn't reckless enough to be a red. It was given for denial of goalscoring opportunity. Which is ridiculous because Atalanta had another defender covering and Vinicius's touch took him away from goal.

Yup. It's called "being shit" agenda. Italian teams were nothing but pure garbage for several years, and fact of that is that Milan as a giant of Europan football hasn't played in Champions League since quite a while ago.
