I think most of us can relate... that's when you're thinking through your life choices lol
that's why football is not beautiful anymore. it's all about 20 men playing "shot and run" game and the team that has the most juiced up horses wins. That's why there will be more and more players like Mbappe, Haaland and less and less players like Pirlo, Xavi, Iniesta. I don't watch football much in recent years except for Inter's and some vibrant encounters between big teams but it seems like they don't score spectacular goals like it used to be in 2000s anymore. maybe it's just me...It’s not really a surprise though Bayern have better players in every position and way more depth. You also look at the difference in physiques, goretzka , lewa ,Davies, upamecano etc are athletes, strong and dynamic. While Barca have small players like busquets and alba who look like they have the strength of a kitten.

Pretty spot on.I think to some extent that happens with all sports, but comparing football (soccer) and basketball it's like completely opposites. Basketball is amping up less physically dominating players that can shoot/pass (amount of 3 point shooters has skyrocketed), while soccer is just becoming about who can run the fastest and longest.
It's largely a cultural thing imo. To achieve the technical ability that guys like Maradona, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, etc... you had to live with the ball at your feet. They lived and breathed football all throughout their childhoods. Now there's too many distractions. So they compensate with "athleticism" (mostly PEDs).
I forgot about this, you are completely right. It's not only football, whole life has changed significantly. sigh...They lived and breathed football all throughout their childhoods. Now there's too many distractions. So they compensate with "athleticism" (mostly PEDs).
And then there's the monetary factor. Which dominoes down to the effect of having smaller and bigger leagues and so on, as in the past you'd have high quality players almost everywhere, now they're all stacked within a few teams of even fewer leaguer. Having higher class teammates tends to elevate your playing level, so now that's also gone. And since teams just hire mercenaries, there's no room for growth for domestic talents. There's also no one local to look up to now for kids from roughly 40 UEFA nations with active leagues. There's a couple of one-season heroes, but they're quickly forgotten as they move to other teams and rare cases of foreigners who stick around long enough so that the next generation of fans (let's say 5-6 years, one school period) manage to also learn the player's name and face.
And you see Brazilian teams are also doing this kind of football training as well. The "street" game is gone. It's out of the professional sport.another one is big teams from Europe recruiting earlier than usual from other countries, 10 to 15 year olds kids, especially South America. Hence now you don't see distinct styles, they are all trained for big teams. On top of that you also have "chain of clubs" like City group, players have same system.
Sheriff 1-0. I think this is good.
True it can't be worse than last year lol. But I trust Real will beat Sheriff twice too, that'd be perfect.Depends what Shakhtar can do versus Real Madrid. Or the opposite. Hopefully RM takes 6 points off of them this time so we don't have to worry.
Very nice goal btw
