Speaking of coefficients, i read few days ago if we qualify to the next round it's very likely we will be in Pot 2 next season. Obviously provided we finish in Serie A top 4.
As things stand, we are 14th at the coeff table. There's no guarantee of Pot 2 football though.
The 2020-21 season is a taint that we'll carry for a while so we need to get more points in the coming seasons to sustain a Pot 2 status.
We can reach 12th spot if we do well (which is Roma's btw) but it would take a lot more to get into the top 10 for next season.
The catch is that you have Pot 1 with teams that are locked. Provided that we'll have 6 champions and almost definitely a CL winner from the top 8 teams, there's an EL winner there as well which isn't likely to come from a team ahead of us, but there's a slim chance.
Assuming Bayern and PSG win their respective leagues of course.
That leaves us with a Pot 2 with 3 English teams, 2 Spanish teams (two of Real/Barcelona/Atletico) and then assuming Ajax wins their league (6th in the coeff table) and get a Pot 1 spot, that means that the next teams will be Juventus, Roma and Dortmund. Which makes it 8. So any Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester United not making CL is good news for us if we don't win the Scudetto (lulz). We'd also welcome a league winner getting the CL on top if we want Pot 2.
But there's a fine margin so far. Roma can advance in Europe even if they fuck up the Europa League. Dortmund's not bad. Villarreal, Sevilla, Napoli and Leipzig are the teams around us with Tottenham following.
