This is going to be one of the most important games for the team this year. We need to get into the next phase and atleast win the UEFA Cup to consider this season as average :D

Hopefully our injured players like Canna and our sick players like Andy VDM can make it for this game.

Hopefully we can start strong, end strong, and play an attackive game, scoring goals but also a strong defensive game since we can't give up an away goal and tie since we will be out...

Inter will have to play much better than they have in the past weeks. Even though they beat Ancona it was by no means a convincing performance.

Benfica may not be the greatest team in the world but trust me, right now anyone playing against Inter looks like Real Madrid. Benfica technically are very good and like to use quick possesion football with players like Simao running into space.

If Inter plays this static type of football where no one moves off the ball it will be a tough game, just like the first leg where the only reason it was 0-0 was a Super Toldo!

Basically all Iam saying is Inter needs to play alot better, no more of these ugly passes, no movement and disjointed team. We have a great set of individuals, we just need them to start working as a collective again as they did when Zac first arrived.

If that can happen we can still save our season.

eddy is right,

to beat benfica, our performance like at ancona would not be enough...
recoba would look bad as usual...

I hope kily and kara can take charge and create chances for vieri....

I don't expect much from this game, an inter which plays an improving game will do it for me...

I think Karagounis and Vieri were rested to start especially with CZ suspended for this one....This means we might see Lamouchi too although i hate that since i have never seen anything from him not even some effort.

It's necessary to have the trio of Vieri-VDM-Recoba for this game. No more playing with two CF crap anymore. I don't want to see either of Cruz or Martins playing along Vieri. It's one of these three players along with Recoba and VDM. If VDM is still out then it should be Cruz playing since he can hold to the ball longer but he should play as a flanked forward. But we have 2 more days and VDM should be fine by then, unless Zac wants to use it as an excuse not to play him. Brechet should be our LWB since he got couple of chances and didn't do bad. He is a part of our future and should get the nod ahead of Helveg.

My line-up (for now):

Toldo
Gamarra--Adani--Cordoba
JZ--Farinos--Kara--Brechet
VDM--Vieri--Recoba

Unfortunately he still is. Ferraro is a butcher that should be banned. The way he kicked Emre in the shin after he passed him was ugly. I wish Materazzi can punch in our next game. But this is a worrying sign for Emre. He gets injured easily by tackles like this from the defenders which is a norm in serie A. He really should build up his body or he will be injured time and time again. The officials in the other hand should try and stop the ugly tackles. Players like Ferraro, Montero and even Materazzi should be warned that wild tackles are a no-no.

hell... at least Emre has to be on April 4th, vs juventus in San Siro, anyway this is my lineup:

-------------Toldo--------------
---Cordoba-Canna-Gamarra-
Capitano-Farinos-Kara-Pascuale-
------------Recoba------------
---------Oba-Vieri------------

Kily was good vs Chievo, but he was just defending well, he didnt make good scoring chances, i prefer Pascuale, we need to win tommorrow, in the 90 minutes, i dont want to suffer neither in extratimes nor in pk shots, FORZA INTER!!!!!!!!!

Who is ferraro? or maybe you mean Ciro Ferrara?
Yeah that's him. A freaking butcher who should've retired after winning with Napoli and save the careers of many promising players in Italy. I really don't know who is worse: him or Montero (the all-time leader in red cards in serie A history)? How can Juve win so much with these butchers? This shows that if you pay the refs then you can have anyone playing for you and still win scudettos.

Montero is a murderer, i dont know if Ferrara is one too, but im sure that he cant run as fast as he did years ago, so he has to kick whoever plays against juventus, Moggi knows that, Juventus defence have been a shit in this season, two old men are gonna leave Delle Alpi at the end of this season, and maybe Mexes and Oddo will go to torino.

Hamed, not sure if you had the 'privilege' of watching the Coppa Italia but Emre was butchered for the duration of the match. The second half was especially bad and he suffred kicks and tackles that not even the strongest of players could withstand. It is not a case of him needing to work on his strength or build his body. A simple red card for such terrible butchery is what usually takes place.

With regards to this game, anyone who believes Inter are going to play a fast and fluid game must be kidding themselves. The initial months after Zaccheroni's appointment were enjoyable but Inter will not hit those heights again this season. Cristiano's suspension, Emre's injury and Stanlovic being cup tied do not help. Adding Lamouchi to the starting eleven will achieve next to nothing.

Do not expect anything from this match other than a scrappy affair in which Inter will only just make it through to the next round, if at all.
