we cannot afford to drain our starters' energies on a competition we are not going to win anyway. we have to focus on getting fourth again, imho in europa league (and coppa italia) we should only field the benchers. it will also be the right occasion to give some playing time to martinez, among other things.

then if by some miracle we get to the semifinal, we can consider using our starters. that's how i would tackle europa league.
