Some comments I found from other users. I have to wait until October, I`m drooling already
I'd have to disagree with the previous poster, the gameplay has changed dramatically.
The pace is DRAsTICALLY slower. A very pleasing and realistic way. Passes are much slower, making reactions, moves, cuts, headers much much smoother. A plethora of new animations that change the atmosphere. Speaking of atmosphere, there are even short cutscenes after you score a goal of the crowd cheering. Detailed bodies waving your jerseys and flags. Crowds react when you enter the danger zone, crowds cheer when you intercept the ball. Crowds go mad when you hit the post. R2 shot is very very very curvy. Goalkeeper may have difficulty holding on to it, making rebounds easier. Analog passing is much softer, so no more screamers that go to the 5th row. Crossing is more difficult, basically because 3/4th of the bar goes a LONG way and timing is more of a demand. Heading is somewhat easier as well as volleys. Graphics are smoother, less jagged edges, good lighting. PRetty noticeable difference. New animations after fouls. Underdogs have better oppurtunities at winning. PLayed Japan vs. England for 2 games. First game lost 3-1, second game won 2-1, all on 5*. All of my goals were won on finding holes and finding spots, which are easier to exploit with the new passing styles.
Again, you'd be surprised at how smooth this game is. Very realistic this time around"
"Heres my impressions:
What can I say, Konami have done it again, easily the best game of the series and well worth the import costs, and thats my view after only a few matches. I haven't really looked around the game yet except play a few friendly matches so these impressions will be based on gameplay mainly.
The game is slower paced than PES4 and WE8, WE8LE. The speed of the game is perfect. Dribbling is a lot harder, I can hardly get round players which is a welcome addition as I thought dribbling was too easy in WE8.
There are tons of new animations, just little things but it looks brilliant. The way the players shield the ball and roll the ball backwards and forwards with their feet, it just looks great. The game 'feels' alot different compared to previous versions so you really need to get used to this new game.
Defensive AI is a lot better, in the games i've played i've only broke them down a few times and managed to get a couple of shots in and scored a couple of tap ins. I'm playing on 4 stars and find it soo difficult to get a clean break. The AI will track off the ball runners and get goal side. In PES4 if you do a one-two most of the time your player will be clear, not this time. Not just defensive but attacking wise they'll send wing backs flying forward, play in little triangles, do tricks. I think its a great improvement.
I haven't had any decent shots on goal, except tap ins so can't really comment on shots, but theres tons of animations. I've ballooned a few way over and probably out the stadium too haha
Collisions are great. Players can shield the ball great this time, not just on the floor but for headers too. You can take players out by running into them, not just holding down X. You may get a bit peed off with the amount of free kicks though but it'll teach you to only make a tackle if you know you will get the ball
The ball seems heavier, it bounces alot more. It doesn't seem to be 'on rails' as much anymore (same with players). You can overhit passes alot more now, so you have alot more freedom imo.
A great thing i noticed: When I was Chelsea playing Arsenal, Lampard had posession in midfield. He managed to play the ball through to Duff who was clear and he scored a simple tapin. The goal was replayed and then the view switched to Lampard who was rolling on the floor. It replayed him getting taken out when he passed to Duff previously!
Oh by the way, the replay views are higher now and also you can select your default view (Wide, Long etc) for replays.
An amazing thing happened in my final match last night. I had possession in midfield in the opponents half. All of a sudden the ref blew is whistle and went running into my half. The view switched to my opponents player rolling around in agony. It then replayed a challenged from a while ago. He must have been down injured and play carried on until the ref noticed! Then after the replay, the ref was where i had possession, he dropped the ball and their player kicked the ball back to my keeper. It was pretty amazing to watch!
Here's a small video i made of the drop ball:

Chelsea and Arsenal are licensed by the way, with their new kits. Transfers are not that up to date (no Robinho @ Real, Viera still at Arsenal). But these can easily be fixed.
Thats all I can really comment on at the moment, I only managed to player a few games but will be playing more tonight after work.
