Awesome keeper, today is his birthday too.
But lets face it, anyone that has the likes of Cabrini, Bergomi, Gentile and co infront of him, he was always going to do well.
Still, probably one of the best!

Han, you should have changed the qouestion to "Who's the best keeper you've ever seen?" Cause it is more adequate.

We have to include Casillias in the poll.

If this guy plays like this until he is in mid-30's, he might become the best GK I have ever seen.

Don't just look at the number of clean sheets and all, look at who were his defenders. Whether with ManU or Danish NT, Schmeichel played with good CD's.

Casillias had to put up with atrocious CD's since Hierro retired. Wether with Real or Spanish NT, he seems to have only one good CD in front of him (Samuel/Ramos with Real, Puyol with the NT.)

You should include Gyula Grosics as well, he was the keeper of the legendary "Magnificent Magyars" squad of the 50s, which thrashed England 6-3 in the Wembley.

That guy was awesome, he was nicknamed "The Black Panther".

Yeah, that is him, I didn't know how to spell his name! I think he was a winger or something.

No, he was a striker, one of the all-time bests in the history of football.

He held tons of records (some of those stand even today!), and he formed the deadly striker duo of Real with Alfredo di Stefano. Those were the glory years for Real (late 50s, early 60s), they were almost unbeatable.

I saw some old footages of him in the nt, but don't know where the guy played (I mean club).

The easy cavalry... Awesome team. But never heard about the keeper you mentioned though.

Yes, Sandor Kocsis, he was the member of that NT too. Here's the complete lineup:
Grosics-Buzánszky-Lóránt-Lantos-Bozsik-Zakariás-Budai II-Kocsis-Hidegkuti-Puskás-Czibor

The thing was that most of these players emigrated after the revolution vs the communists in 56, and thus were never ever allowed to play in the NT again.

Kocsis played for Barcelona afterwards, whilst Grosics stayed at home, so probably that's why you haven't heard of him, but he was widely recognized as the best keeper around that time. The NT beat the soviets (with Yasin in their goal) with Grosics defending our goal.

Best keeper of all times at 24? Come on guys, that is just ridiculous. I think he have been really good for just one and a half season now. He is obviously playing very well at the moment, but let's see in some 8 years time, then he might deserve a spot in this kind of poll, if he continues to perform like he does at the moment.
