Why do you support Inter, and how did you choose Inter?

I don't know, the Blue and Black just filled me with something, it's like it was waiting for me, I then started to remember players like Zanetti, Eto'O, Milito, Cambiasso, Inter Champions League winners, Ibrahimovic (yes even him) and my first champions league game I saw live on TV. looking at the shirt, and it just clicked, this story needs it own love song,

I choose Inter from playing Fifa 08. Me and all my friends would always play with 5 star teams. All of them obviously went for the EPL and La Liga teams. I wanted a 5 star team that was a bit different to stand out. I saw the blue and black of Inter and knew that was the one. Next thing you know I was following them in Serie A and CL. After the first scudetto with Mourinho I was obsessed and haven't looked back.

A friend of mine had an Inter jersay. When I chosed my first football dressed I couldnt decide whether I should chose Manchester United, Real, Roma or Inter... so I took Inter because of my friend. I got more interested in the club, watched their matches, played Inter on playstation and so I got fan ;)
Years later I got it that the classmate had just chosen Inter because he thought the jersey is beautiful... anyway I regret nothing :D

In the mid to late 80s, I first became a Serie A fan... then an anti-Milan fan (hated the arrogance of the Sacchi team)... and then fell in love with Inter. What attracted me to Inter, were:

- initially, the mutual dislike for Milan
- an article I read about the history of Inter, loved why we are called "Internazionale".
- The David vs Goliath fairy-tale of 1988-89, what a season! Record points, 12 points over the "greatest ever Milan" and 11 over Maradona's Napoli. And that was when a win was only 2 points. THAT season was mental!

...and then every season, the love for Inter only grew. The more we lost, the stronger the bond grew. Its crazy what 17 win-less seasons can do to your bond with your club!!

Just started watching football when Ronaldo came to Inter plus WC98 was also a big help

Djorkaeff, Ronaldo, Recoba

I don't want to hate other clubs tho, but Inter is the only one I love

Yeah, I'm not into Vieri anymore. But he used to mean a lot to me. Then Vieira came, and I thought that was his sister (internal joke)

Because I'm poor, so I recognize myself in this club.

When I was 4 my father came back from his holiday in Turkey he brought tons and tons of jerseys. Like Galatasaray, Barcelona, Rube, Real Madrid Inter etc etc. Most of them were for my family and since it was my birthday I could chose a jersey first. The beautiful colors of the night and the sky attracted me to choose the jersey, with #4 Zanetti on the back. And emh, the rest is history I guess

Frankly, I've got no idea. None of my friends or family were into Calcio and I was like 10 (now I'm 24) when my first memories of Inter start to surface.

I'm sure it was the colors that made me like the club and/or Baggio, although I'm not sure whether I watched him play in our shirt as well.

Supporting Inter since Pelegrini... That was long time ago. I remember that I was reading a book about great football clubs and there was an article for Internazionale Milano. Why I like it particularly, dunno... It was written on the wall I guess.

I've explained it in my introduction thread, well I'll say here again I guess, just for the sake of starting a thread .

Yesterday I went to the Nike Store in Oxford Street, just casually looking at football shirts, when I saw Inters, I don't know why but I just clicked, it was love at first sight, I didn't actually support any teams because I couldn't connect to any teams, and was looking for one to support, even though I loved football, and it was totally out of the 'Blue', but I just seemed to have connected to Inter, despite none of my friends liking Inter, no family connection and never being to Italy at all, infact most of my friends only like AC Milan and Juve (why are they even my friends), but I remember Inter vs Bayern Munich was a my first ever Champions League match, I was rooting for Inter, I knew of players such as Zanetti, Cambiasso, Milito, Handanovic etc, anyways, Inter is now my team and always will be

:interflag:

So what's your love story with Inter, why are you an Interista?

Handanovic? The way you write feels like you meant he also played back then when you started supporting him.
