If we could steal one or 2 away games, we have a chance. Iran is obviously the winner. So, second place is between Qatar, Bahrain and us. We can match up with Bahrain but probably need a bit luck to beat Qatar. I was hoping for China instead of Iran. Against China we have a better chance to qualify.

AUW!!! Indonesia - IrAUWn!!! We all watch that one together here on FIF. But have more hope though. Cuz brain farts is a very common thing in the Iranian NT.

Indonesia is actually in the qualifier?

We qualified to the third round after we defeated Turkmenistan in the second round last week. But it is still a long way. There is still fourth round if we miraculously qualified from this round by getting into second place. Only Top 2 from Group A and B in fourth round qualify directly. Third place of group a and b in the fourth round will go to fifth round which is a play-off. The winner of fifth round will play a play-off against play-off team from other feds. I don't fancy Indonesia to qualify to WC, but Indonesia have the potential to qualify to the next round tbh. If the players head attached correctly.

I really hope so after what happened against France that day. Shit is still in my memory. But, Ireland need players like Roy Keane, a player willing to die in that green jersey.

I actually know Iran's weakness. Iran players weakness is in between their thighs. If I were in charge of Indonesia NT, I would hire 22 hookers to hook on Iran players the night before the game in Jakarta. That surely will give us a win.

To be honest I'm starting to see that actually, that incident with firendlies where players just didn't show up really suprised me. I think vs big sides such as France and even Russia we always give 110% and that's why I love watching our NT games.

I do like some players like McGeady, Lawrence, Dunne. But, I think the strikers are the worst department. Doyle. I think he should not play for NT. But, yeah.. Trap has made quite lots of improvements. Well, Ireland did manage to knock out France as I always believe France never qualified to WC 2010. So, Ireland should be able to match Germany. :fingercross:

Really? I know he doesn't score that much but Doyle is a pretty decent striker. Anyways with his injury Shane Long has really stepped up and I hope he joins a Premiership side this Summer.

Yeah. I don't know why I think Doyle always runs one step too late. That's why he lacks of scoring while he plays in more advanced position than Robbie. Shane Long? Never seen him or heard about him. I hope he is good. I really missed Ireland 2002.

Shane Long is a good player, he got like 20+ goals in the Championship for Reading. Walters isn't bad either, seen as how both are little know they could suprise alot of people.

We'll see how the Euro's go, depends what kind of performanc we put in. If we qualify
