Another 15 min when we were parking the bus. Should of been subbed for Gargano or someone, not Milito, so he would have someone to link up with.

The sub was unnecessary anyway. I have said it in the match thread. Napoli was playing like Spartans. Sending a baby-size attacker onto the pitch when they are losing wouldn't add anything for us. I would rather have Romano play so that he can slide tackle and punch Rizzoli or something.

Haha. Well yeah, Coutinho was close to useless because no one even passed the ball to him. I don't know if it was because he wasn't looking for open space or if other players just ignored him but I didn't see Cou that much at all on the pitch.

If he came on to help in covering the midfield, I think we would have had some other choices for that role. Maybe Strama thought Cou is a good counter-attacking player. The problem was our midfield couldn't deliver the ball to him hardly at all.

In a way I'm annoyed that he hasn't been gettin as much time on the pitch as I thought he would get (purely so he could develop more). Is it worth perhaps loaning him out again? At the moment I just think he could get more time and games elsewhere.

I don't know about loaning him out, especially with Sneijder out. His biggest problem was he got injured right just as he was picking up his form. He still hasn't gotten back to his pre-injury form, bet he has only been back a couple of games.

Nah no more loans. Poor kid. We can't keep toying with him at such a young age.

Either we integrate him into the starting XI or we sell him.

Ok, maybe not that drastic but I agree we need to start integrating him ASAP. In my opinion we should start him and stick with him after Christmas. Make him feel like a starter, and he'll take on more responsibility.

Cou has to work on his positioning without the ball, he looks like a very insecure fan who just entered the field and wants to punch an opponents player but doesent know which one... And also, someone needs to tell him to stop trying THAT hard to impress with dribbles and useless crap like that when playing against serious teams (like napoli tonight), or he will end up like C.Ronaldo dribbling himself :D

He has been far from impressive the last couple of games, ill be honest, but than again, even pros like Sneijder and Milito have had dark moments in their careers, so im not that worried as long as he gets his minutes every game.

As for tonight, he could have played 40 minutes more, i wouldnt even notice him, one because of our style of play and two because he wasnt runing enough for a young player who must use all his given chances to a maximum, i mean, i get it, we were defending yada yada, but i didnt see any pressure from him when the opposition had the ball.

Tbh I`m hardly worried.

Coutinho will show what he`s worth when the all team start showing it.

We`ve been doing ok lately, but let` be honest, playing good for 15 minutes and defending for the rest of the game is hardly a shape of a top team that are contenders for scudetto.

When we start having a specific strategy and an attacking plan like jube, Fiorentina and Napoli.. then Countiho`s real role will start to be clear.

Coutinho was instructed to do specific things vs Napoli. help in defense and try to counter whenever he gets the chance. the all team was tired by the time he came in so there was no one to assist him. I find it hard to judge him now tbh.

I think that all he need is just regular performances. Not 20-30 minutes or one - two matches in first 11. Look at Lamela or Shaarawy, they played shit in last season and explode when coaches gave them confidence with regular play.

The thing is that half a season at Espanol gave Coutihno more than 3 years at Inter. This kid needs confidence and as time passes by his confidence is diminishing at an astonishing rate. If we cant find a place for Coutinho in our starting line up just let him go. Otherwise, he would be one more spoiled talent at Inter, and our club is well-known for this shit.

We give the quite frankly, less talented Juan Jesus a starting spot this season and he completely takes his chance and makes a name for himself yet the much hyped Coutinho gets shit minutes.

Well truth be told, Juan played out of his skin when given his opportunity; very effective and a non-liability. Cou got his chance and thought it was fuckin FIFA street or some shit....

How exactly he had got his chance? Shining against some low level Europa league contestor (with all due respect).. He needs more matches. Not some lousy 25 mins against a team we're defending against. How the fuck is he at this moment/form/skills going to make an impact if the ball gets constantly shot forward and he nearly gets the ball. True is true that if he has the ball, he often wastes it. But still, he tries again. We lack a player who dares to challenge the opponents. Rather see him trying again and succeed one time than losing the ball 1 time and not showing up anymore. Cou is a potential beast. This season may not be his, but the next ones will be. I believe in that.
Just let him play along Cassano,Milito and Guarin for a few matches. He can be a perfect link for them. Guaro rushing forward, Cassano + Milito's ballhandling skills. Cassano's vision,... He just needs starting matches.

Getting such 15 mins in odd games is just rubbish for his development. Better go on to another team in Serie A on loan.

It's always going to be tough for Cou starting games consistently for league games. Even with Sneijder on his way out, he still has Palacio and Cassano in front of him. Players that Strama obviously prefers. I would consider Ricky too but dude gets a muscle strain from getting a tattoo. Point is, unless one of El Rat Tail or Fantantonio gets injured for a lengthy amount of time, I expect Cou to continue coming off the bench and occasionally starting a Coppa Italia or EL game.

I do chuckle when it comes to coutinho. Seems like I posted this before in this same very thread, but whatever.

(1) My post was directed to someone taking a shot at Juan. Let me ask this; do you remember Juan's first start for strama? Against torino, in turin, after the loss to roma? First time playing 3 in the back. Do you remember Juan's performance? HE WAS A FUCKIN BOSS UNQUESTIONABLY. His reward for that performance was another start. And what did he do? PERFORM LIKE A FUCKIN BOSS AGAIN. And you get the point. Consistent, very effective, minimal mistakes, non-liability/can count on Juan/don't need to worry about Juan. He got an opportunity and he took it.

(2) Coutinho? He got a some sub minutes and he got to start games. He started in 2nd leg Hadjuk, started v Viola and v Milan and v Palermo. What did Cou do? DICK SQUAT but play fifa street. He's been that way since coming here in 2010.

(3) Most importantly, you guys do realize that there's something called TRAINING? That maybe he's not making a good impression on the coach in training?

Imo, coutinho is very ineffective and more importantly, very inconsistent. Dribbles too much and passes too little. He is like a turnover machine. My nickname for him is "almost", since he's that type of player....ohhh that was ALMOST a goal or ALMOST a sweet play.
