Because I think most people in my place would feel confident about making that assessment, and I feel there's a high probability of me having the same assessment even if I watched Ajax every week for the last 2 years vs the 15-20 games I have seen. At the same time there are always lots of improbabilities that can come into play. Eg. how he adapts to a new league.

I'm also not quite sure what our financial resources are so it might not even matter relative to our goal of making 3rd and De Boer's tactics.

Exactly. So just enjoy the ride. Why bother trying to predict his failure? What is done, is done. What Frankie did before this means nothing. It is a new club and a clean slate. Every experience is different.

This is coming from the guy who said he sucks in Europe and was nervous about the signing.

First practice is in the books, and first day at HQ meet and greet.

I am both highly excited and a bit skeptical with De Boer's hiring.
Excited mostly due to getting rid of Mancini, new wind for a new coach, and the fact that we have a coach who actually want to implement possession football here in Inter (something I have not seen in my lifespan as a supporter).
In spite of those, I truly fear that his spell may turn out like the disastrous AVB spell at Spurs some few years ago. A young coach with decent tactical knowledge and philosophy coming to revolutionize the club, then failing spectacularly and destroying his career in the process.
Let's hope the complete opposite happens and De Boer will be our saviour instead.

There's something about Frank De Boer that reminds me of Jonathan Loughran. Especially in Adam Sandler's movies.

Do you like Adam sandler's movies? At this point, I gotta do the coming out and admit I have been a closet fan of his movies for a long time. :eek:blivious:

I like a few! The most recent one I like is the first Grown Up's film. Air Heads, Wedding Singer, Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison are all old favourites of mine :)

I'm really not pumped about this like some of you. Seeing all these Simeone links just has the feel of mid table lame duck status for De Boer.

Many say his best movie is Punch Drunk Love, which isn't a comedy but is definitely a good movie. Wedding Singer is probably the best but I liked all of his movies with drew berrymore, including the most recent one, Blended, although it wasn't as good as 50 First Dates and nowhere nearly as good as Wedding Singer. Sorry for the off topic.

P.s.: when people end up talking about Sandler's movies you can really tell there are no transfer rumours at all.

If Gabigol comes he is another that can develop under FDB. I dont think we will start the season on fire but we should see some more team cohesiveness as the season goes on. Its going to be a long year I just dont want any embarrassing defeats to milan or rube

not pumped either but i don't think there's enough evidence to say de boer is a lame duck for simeone. if that was true i would be pumped either way. i think its possible simeone would've ome here at the end of last season but it seems out of place with our current situation. who knows really.

there just isnt any guarantee for simeone. and even if de boer is in fact a lame duck right now, doesn't mean he won't do a "good" job or that he will be a lame duck in the future. although i dont see this working out for us.

The Simeone links have been around for ages, ever since he had success at Atleti they mean nothing. "He said he'll coach inter" no shit he is gonna say he would never coach Inter. He also said the same thing about Lazio doesn't mean everything needs to stop and they need to plan the entire club around the remote possibility Simeone is gonna come to Inter now.
