According to Di Marzio, Pioli is now ahead of Marcelino and Zola and he is the most likely candidate to replace FdB.

Marca report Marcelino will be the new Inter coach and he could even be at Meazza to watch the game against Crotone.

It is hard for me to watch any Inter Milan game now due to the many embarassing defeats.

Have you watched from 2013 to 2016? It's been quite a rollercoaster

If we want Simeone to arrive in 2018 then why hire someone right now who wants to shape the entire squad to what he wants?

How stupid our reliance on Simeone is. Just fucking stupid.

Rollercoaster is not the word I would use because then you need to have also ups not only downs. We have been solid shit.

Well, last year we were first place for half a season, so that's a high note, while the downs have been more often true, but there have been some positive things to talk about in these periods of times

True, last season's start was very positive.

anyone who believes this is the main cause/motivation is very naive.

When we're signing players (Joao Mario) and coaches which fall under the same agent, I start to think that some people aren't looking at the wellbeing of the club but looking at filling an agent's pocket. I'll give you that they may be doing it indirectly but it's still happening and it should be a bad sign, just look at how well United are doing by licking Jorge Mendes.

Wow so many contradicting rumors and divided opinions.

All I care about is staying far away from both Pioli and Zola. Both have the potential to relegate us to Serie B. It's either Marcelino or nothing. Fucking Kia who wants Zola and the other nutjobs pushing for Pioli need a serious brain check.

I wouldn't give Pioli's 3rd place with Lazio much credit. It's not hard to reach that place with Inter and Milan in such a bad state. Other than that, he's pretty much just another relegation team mediocre Italian manager.

When I first mentioned this over the summer that Kia is getting too much influence over Inter and that would be disastrous, some people had doubts. Now looks like Kia is pushing Zola to Inter. God help us.

As a manager, I rate Zola below Stramaccioni. And I don't rate Stamaccioni.

Zola or Marcelino for Inter job
By Football Italia staff

Inter are expected to choose their new Coach today and it’s a two-horse race between Gianfranco Zola and Marcelino.

Frank de Boer was sacked on Monday evening and there is still no replacement.

While Stefano Pioli was initially the favourite put forward by the club’s Italian directors Piero Ausilio and Giovanni Gardini, the former Lazio boss did not impress Suning representatives in Friday’s meeting.

Marcelino seemed certain for the job following a Friday night dinner with the Chinese chiefs, but on Saturday morning there was a big surprise when Zola was spotted attending an interview at Inter headquarters.

According to several newspapers and Sky Sport Italia, Zola can now be considered in pole position because he has the backing of agent – and unofficial Suning consultant – Kia Joorabchian.

While Joorabchian had originally wanted Marcelino or Guus Hiddink, he is now more inclined towards keeping the Italian base happy by finding a Coach who is both internationally famous and has Serie A experience.

Zola would tick both boxes, as although his management career is extremely limited and often resulted in early sackings, he is a big name in China due to his time as a player at Chelsea.

A decision is expected later today, most likely after Inter’s Serie A match with Crotone at San Siro at 17.00 GMT.

Primavera youth team boss Stefano Vecchi is the caretaker manager for that encounter and trying to keep the team focused, having already lost his debut, a 2-1 Europa League trip to Southampton.

Sky Sport Italia and Rai Sport filmed Marcelino returning to his hotel last night and asked if he would be at the game. “I don’t know,” was the reply.

The reporters then asked if he was happy. “I’m always happy.”

Taking so long for hiring a manager is already a great first step for closing the club for good tbh. I'm really glad about this. It will save us many more years of pain & suffering.

I'm sorry but if we can't find the right candidate now, I'd stick to Vecchi till the end of the season. It's stupid that we put ourselves in this situation, FdB should still be here we would have lost nothing. The season is already fucked.

It seems Pioli is extremely close to the Inter bench. He is definitely ahead of Marcelino right now. Ausilio, who was present at a meeting with Suning about the coach decision, is pressing hard for him.

When your options are Douche and a turd sandwich I see more suffering.

Oh and one of the main guys who is choosing our manager is an agent who knows nothing about this club and Serie A and who doesn't seem to think that a manager knowing the language will help.

At least Ausilio and Zanetti have brains.

Brains? In what world is Pioli better than Marcelino? :palm:

I find both Pioli and Marcelino good choices. I just hope they won't choose a retard like Zola.

Now that i'm starting to know him, I like Marcelino a bit more than pioli.

However, it's also extremely important that Jindong is fully convinced of the choice, otherwise the new coach will never work in peace.
