10 years of FIFAfter a week of predicting our line-up and getting it entirely wrong, I wouldn't put too much stock into what GdS, CdS, TS, SI, and all the rest are saying right now.
I'd hope Spalletti knows that 3 midfielders, particularly when one of them is Vecino, isn't good enough in terms of either quantity or quality when entering the CL group stage.
The reasoning for this could be the usual playing Asamoah in the midfield and then Dalbert LB, but does anybody who isn't a pure masochist really want to see Dalbert against Messi/Malcolm/Lozano/Lucas Moura/Lamela/Son?

Again, the only player I can see him competing with is Keita Balde, who has a minimal cost on the list. Maybe we need to save something to add both Gagliardini and Vecino in the list after all? One of those two midfielders out makes zero sense. And Dalbert in for whatsoever reason makes this option borderline treason.

10 years of FIFWe do not have negative book if we register him, but he does affect the list. If we exclude him we will have 24m more to register players.
Keita Balde only book 5m loan fee. So Candreva = Balde + Lautaro (for e.g.) No brainer.

10 years of FIFhmm could this have something to do with the loan? I think we already paid Gagliardini and Dalbert. While Politano, Keita and other are on loan, we have to esclude players that we already have paid maybe.

Candreva whether we like it or not is one of the few players with European experience. And it's also going to be Vecino > Gagliardini. Candreva is sort of irrelevant here imo.
I don't see what Keita can offer when we need Gagliardini here but I guess Spalletti wants to make use of his speed and can hide D'Ambrosio as left back when he wants to use Asamoah in midfield.

I'm not optimistic but what can we do except hope and pray that Gagliardini's performance in Bologna (not to mention his great patch of form last season) will convince Spalletti to include him. I mean, restrictions or no, a midfield of Brozovic, Vecino and Nainggolan is just fucking suicidal, even if you want to count Asamoah as a midfielder.
it is not a choice between keita and gagliardini, in our books for cl list keita costs 5m loan so we need to exclude our expensive purchases so it was between one of the vecino/gagliardini/candreva and candreva would be the wisest choice but maybe spalletti have something else in his head and btw keita's speed against barca and spurs is needed really.

10 years of FIFIt seems some restrictions from the SA still applies? Gagliardini was paid this summer (in 2017 financial year), he was on loan till that. So Candreva being in the EL list is maybe after all "free" in this list but Gagliardini isn't. So it was basically Vecino - Gagliardini. Wrong choice nevertheless but I don't believe we pick that many offensive players instead of an extra midfielder when we have only three of them apparently in the list now.
As expensive additions we have Nainggolan, Skriniar and Vecino. These loanees didnt cost much since none of them were obligations.

10 years of FIFCandreva is not expensive, he was in the list two years ago. So he's free, just like Icardi, Miranda, Brozo, Perisic etc.
