I think it means we're going to cover the costs of Tottenham's owed fees to Ajax and whatever % Odense is getting.

It's not a future sale clause.

Well done Marotta. You end up playing exactly what was asked initially, almost just like with Lukaku. Now you just wasted 2 weeks.

But it's payable over 24 to 30 months

Yeah, now we have Eriksen to win Coppa Italia and EL... but oh no, wait. It's more probable that we lose against Fiorentina and get knocked out by some midtable german team in the EL, because nothing matters anyway. January starts means basically hoolidays for our players, they don't even think about EL and Coppa, losers.

Solidarity percentage has something to do with youth development... It's pretty convoluted but when it comes to money, what I gather is that it's 5% on any fee, so a million in our case, to be distributed to clubs that have contributed to the players development until his 23rd birthday.

Wait.. so after haggling for 2 weeks,
We ended up paying for fucking 1 million more?

Watch him come here and barely get off the bench ala Shaqiri because our great Italian coach who only knows how to play one way can't fit him into the system.

Disappointing if the reported numbers are true. We seem way too desperate. I would've preferred just offering the asking price to begin with, rather than haggling and then bending over.

i'll admit that it's easy to talk in hindsight, BUT: 1. from the very beginning, it was about just a few millions, for a player who under normal circumstances would be worth at the very least 60-70; in doing so, trying to save 1-2 millions for weeks, marotta subjected Inter to the risk of other teams realizing they could make the same deal; so, even without taking into account levy being notoriously hard to negotiate with, even without taking into account that the negotiations were a failure, was it even worth negotiating to begin with, in this case?

Have you not seen any of the big transfers our management has made recently?

They have the negotiation skills of Donald Trump, they assume they have an upper hand, waste valuable time with meetings and making offers that get rejected, then they have their bluff called out and they pay exactly what was asked originally. The same goes for the players they try to sell. Notice how no one is meeting our ridiculous asking prices for any of our players?

Oh and our management supporters blindly call this a massive success.

It was marotta who called the Barcelona bluff and stuck to his valuation.

This negotiation isnt abnormal, eriksen was the commodity that turned into a utility based on our last few games. The more it became evident, the less leverage we had.

Marotta got Eriksen. You master negotiators hopefully got the lint out of your belly button.

We did the same thing with Lukaku.

The main differences are:
- It took longer since it was in the summer.
- It took Lukaku to accept an offer from Juventus and Dybala to reject Man Utd's offer to force us to meet the original demands of Man Utd.

so the answers to reasoning is silly insults. i thought you were better than this.

anyways, i doubt 3 draws can have an impact on a negotiation.

Di Marzio reported the financial details of Eriksen move to Inter. 20m plus solidarity percentage (no idea what that is) plus the profits of a friendly between Inter and Tottenham.

I hope we send our U15 team
