This place has become incredibly spoiled after we signed Hakimi :palm:

Atalanta have no reason to sell Gosens to Inter.

Why not. They are operating on getting the best profits every year, buying low selling high, their scouting is top level too. They will find a replacement for him.

Gosens is a bit overrated here.

every player has he's negatives and positives, if you ask me. Personally for example i would like Hateboer because he's basically a horse that never stops running. But i don't think we are getting another RWB, we need at last 1 for the left side if not 2. (Biraghi/Young should be only third option for the bench tbh.) I really would like Kostic.

Just like all Atalanta players. It's the system that make them look so good.

We all agree Hakimi fits perfectly in our system since he looked even better in Dortmund's 343. Gosens would fit that pattern too.
It's much more different for midfielders like Gags, Cristante or de Roon (they also lack star quality anyway).

Correct but it's no guarantee. With Milan and Fiorentina expected to be buyers, Atalanta is taking a position risk by aiming for profit over results as Serie A becomes stronger. Furthermore, theyve one of the most compelling stories in European football with the absolute beatings they throw and currently find themselves in a great position in CL. Selling Gosens for profit and relying on scouting for an immediate replacement feels like a backhand to Gasperini and the supporters. Furthermore, Atalanta's profitable sales were most prevalent when expectations were low, but now that they're playing with the big boys, they are expected to improve, not just stay the same.

I wouldnt rule them out of selling Gosens, but selling him to a direct rival is pure stupidity.

I agree that 90% of that roster wouldn’t look as good else where specifically the midfielders, but Gosens has great athleticism and determination. He wouldn’t be changing much in term of tactics and guy has 9 goals this term.

For an incredibly attacking team, Atalanta have what, 30 something more goals than us?

Yea...but If you look at Hateboer he has no goals with 8 shots and only 2 on target.

it could be a fluke in term on goals too..... but he has 29 shots at goal with 17 on target and 9 goals.

These Emerson rumors are ramping up. The little I’ve seen of him, I wasn’t impressed. Is he any good? I saw one or two Roma games before and just a game with Chelsea so I really can’t say much, but if anyone here watched any Italy matches or followed him so far please tell his strengths and why he would be an upgrade, maybe I missed the good shit. Why do Chelsea want to rid themselves of him, is it just a bad fit like Griezmann or did he just suck overall?

He is like the jack of all trades, master of none, as someone said about his performances at Chelsea. Wrote in Whatsapp group my prediction how this goes:

We do the groundwork for the deal now. Offering some loan + option shit. We know Chelsea wants to get rid of one of Alonso/Emerson. They won't accept loan. We go for our other targets. If they don't pan out, we come back to Chelsea in September and again offer some cheeky loan deal for Emerson.

Nevertheless I don't see any reason to pay a cent over 20m€ for him and even that sounds a bit reach in COVID times.

Don't have one.
Barzaghi from mediaset saying we already met with alaba, his father and agent, even before lockdown, to see the possibility of signing him, and that emerson is alternative to alaba.

Maybe alaba already decided to not join us, and thats why we have all these emerson rumors lately...

Hopefully everything is still open on the alaba front.

Noone is. But if he comes only on loan + option thats a good deal. Same thing with Sanchez. Should'nt commit to a 20M buyout and crazy wage after recent games. ManU is desperate to get rid of him. Beppe should know this

In that matches he played with italy (not much, maybe 4-5?) i really liked him. I don't think we have a better Lb at the moment

It's a weird situation now with the transfer market and the regular activities (30/06 end of accounting year) but I think at this moment it's still all fluid. Until less than a week ago some teams, ie Real Madrid with Hakimi, needed to conclude some deals for the regular reporting year, but now we're past that and there's also that postponement for these things so teams aren't really rushing here.

Aside from Tonali where we have had a type of agreement since January, anything else at this moment is possibly not agreed and still pending on our actions with Perisic, Nainggolan, Joao Mario, Dalbert and others like Vecino, Gagliardini, Asamoah, Godin and a decision on the likes of Biraghi, Sanchez and I guess Moses could fall into this category.

After Hakimi, we definitely have plans to get a WBL and another center back that possibly can be slotted on the left side. My guess is that we're going for a stop gap solution or a loan + option or obligation-ish. So a bigger name is still possible, but a random serviceable player is more probable unless we manage to cash in a lot from sales, something like 80m; ~15m Perisic, ~15m Joao Mario, ~10m Asamoah, ~15m Gagliardini, ~15m Vecino, ~10m Dalbert) and not rush into making a move. That still won't allow us to make all the moves we want, but if we prioritize on a top left side wing back given the importance of the role on Conte and the fact that the rest of our team just needs depth at the moment more than a quality starter, it could be possible to see us pull the trigger on some big name transfer such as Alaba, Lucas Hernandez, Bernat, Grimaldo etc. If we're going for a top, short term target, Jordi Alba would be my choice.

The last part is interesting. Pedulla insists the names in our list for the left side are Alaba, Mendy, Gosens, Emerson and Fares. I guess we will see who's right.
