That's exactly what Aguero told his wife before she left him

Ah yes! How could we forget such a glamorous global hotspot, the sprawling and bustling Knutsford!

That looks mint, not gonna lie.

Let's go all in for Messi. I'm sick of us signing ManU hall of shamers and being linked to the Darmians and Kolarovs of this world.

honestly my point isnt that lake como is comparable to knutsford, but rather, lake como is a hugely popular location even without initself being a massive global city/etc. that's the analogy of knutsford - its one of the wealthiest parts of the UK outside of London, you get the nice high end houses for £5-10million there, its a short drive to an international airport, its not far from two major cities, and you can guarantee your neighbours arent chavs.

Honestly, it'd do you well to not talk about things you openly admit to having no clue about. This is the de facto location where many of the footballers in the NW of the UK live, for very good reason.

Allegedly, including CR, David Silva, Toure, Ibra, Mata, de Gea, Cantona, etc.

That part of the UK is really nice for quaint villages and old school architecture whilst still being quite 'small' towns/villages. Really nice 'English country' lifestyle... and 30 min drive to Manchester, Liverpool, etc, for all the partying you want. 1h30 on train to London. Average property prices on some streets well over £1m. Pretty much anyone who is anyone in the NW of England will live there, unless they're a kid and live in one of the major apartment blocks in the city centre like the Albert Dock in Liverpool or Beetham Plaza. Not sure what the names of the Manchester blocks are off the top of my head.

Dude, I own apartments in several major European cities and I've helped many hnwi get their own places around Europe (mostly) while working in a London wm firm.

That's not an in spot. Stop pretending it is.

Messi may go to Man City but it won't be because he feels that Knutsford is a great place to live in... He'll be miserable for it and he probably knows it.

This is like Agnelli trying to convince me that a FIAT Multipla looks better than the Lamborghini Murcielago.

I mean.. you clearly dont know what you're talking about :D It is a spot. I've literally just posted the evidence above that proves it is a spot. You can say 'its not a spot' all you want, but it demonstrably is. You've never even heard of boohoo who are literally one of the fastest growing fashion brands and one of the very few European unicorns.

Ah, right, but you have a history of ignoring evidence on this forum

Yeah, I'm not sayiyng Messi is moving for Knutsford, for fucks sake. Make up whatever you want and feel free to put the words into my mouth. But it's not like Messi is moving to a fucking slum in Manchester either...

I thought they all mostly lived in Cheshire. But whatever. Yes he won't be in a shithole in Manchester, he'll be in a nice house, probably beside aguero and other Argentinians. But the weather is a fucking joke. For a man used to Argentina and Spain, it will fucking suck. Culture, lifestyle etc Italy will put it in the dirt, but you can't blame him for preferring man City over us at this point. It will be a shame to play for a soulless club and I hope he wins nothing, but ah well.

For clarity, Knutsford is the part of Cheshire where they all live. Most footballers live near Knutsford, rather than just well spread across Cheshire tbh.

Anyway, veering off topic again. Enough on this topic unless someone actually asks an interesting question or says something insightful and worth responding to, which I guess. brehme wont aside from 'But I've not heard of knutsford and I know everything about fine living, so you're clearly wrong even though you've got a list of loads of footballers who do live there'
I could actually be wrong but I BELIEVE even CR/etc keep their homes in Knutsford because they like it so much after they leave.

For what it's worth, Di Maria and Messi are pretty close. Probably closer than Aguero and Messi.

“I didn’t want to go to Manchester because at that moment in time, I was friends with Gianinna Maradona, who was married to Sergio Aguero, and we flew from Madrid to his house in Manchester to pay him a visit for two or three days when Angel had a few days off at Real Madrid.

“It was horrible! All of it was horrible, we went to the house and we were like, ‘See you later guys, we’re out of here’.

“When we left, I said to him, ‘Go to any country – except England!’

For a guy like Messi that has all of Europe in his fingertips to choose Manchester is just... weird. It's shitty weather, and it's not exactly a great place to live for a rich dude. London has terrible weather but at least it's an international hub.

I just can't see him going anywhere but London, Milan or Paris. Might be wrong, but we'll see.

For Messi, they'd be happy to fly him in & out daily from his Spanish Mansion...

Not sure why people keep bringing up that he'd live in shit Manchester. Just because you work in one city doesn't mean you live there. I'm from the Detroit area. Any athlete that plays here lives 45 minutes north of downtown in the hills.

The best thing about this thread is knowing how Messi will feel living somewhere else than Barcelona.

KNOWING. Not speculating. KNOWING.

LOL's fucking talking about real-estate.....

What will be, will be.

The fact that this contract clause could be taken to court is a huge risk, enough to think twice.

If i was in management at Inter, I would want to have a good look at the contract and if Messi has actually does have a right to terminate past the date. Inter can and will only sign him if he is free, hopefully the tax laws and Italian lifestyle, including past Argentinian players past/present still involved with the club, co-signing inter will be enough of a pull to bring him to the Nerazzuri. And of course lago di como would be better than anywhere in England.

Messi V Ronalo / Inter V Juve / Derby d'Italia would be the game to watch of the season worldwide. The exposure to Serie A and international markets (Asia specifically) would be astronomical.
