Italian Media Claim Inter Midfielder Arturo Vidal Showed Dissent After Substitution In Udinese Draw
Arturo Vidal was visibly furious after being substituted in Inter’s goalless draw against Udinese at the Dacia Arena yesterday.
The Chile international was brought off for Stefano Sensi midway through the second half as the Nerazzurri pushed for a winner, but did not take well to being withdrawn, as reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Vidal showed his frustration to coach Antonio Conte as he made his way off the pitch, including making an offensive gesture and throwing water bottles in anger.
Similarly, he stormed straight to the bench rather than speak to his coach or fellow staff and was visibly angry as the remainder of the match played out.
Sensi, meanwhile, was unable to inspire Inter to a victory that would have sent them top of Serie A, but was cautioned late on for a foul on Kevin Lasagna.
Signed from Barcelona last summer, Vidal has scored twice in 22 appearances in all competitions for Inter this season.
