But no one expected Mario to flop so hard. From Nainggolan or the three names mentiones you couldn't expect something else when they arrived. And then we stick with them and have to pay their salary.

Valero ... For me he was to "week" and maybe I'm biased but for a midfielder he was too bad in front of the goal.

Risk and reward my friend.
If you pay a hefty sum for a younger and he flopped hard - you have Joao Mario.
On the other hand you have the cases like Skrniar, Barella and Bastoni. Any of these could play for us 10 years of high level. Their amortisation cost becomes negligible after a few years. And most important, we could use our resorces for the position we need to improve.
Agree with grandpas, id we use the Young example. The fee was minimal and contract short.

Nainggolan was neither of these situation. He was expensive, he received a long and fat contract when at 30yo he already showed signs of declining. He was just a bad business. He had so many red flags and we ignored them all.

I don't hate Valero. But I cannot stop thinking in that summer we bought Valero and Vecino for 30m and paid them something like 10m gross salary combined. Two midfielders from a mid-table team, nothing spectacular. Those money could have been better spent.

They might not end favourably to Inter but I'm 100% positive these sagas will end this summer.

Though those sagas ending the first place is favourable to Inter by default.

We are indeed releasing Nainggolan for free. And apparently paying him like 1m€ severance pay. Now he's negotiating with Cagliari for the contract, apparently there isn't an agreement like initially thought.

So we gonna take some heavy minusvalenza in this deal too. Almost 10m€ to be precise. But at least we save around 8m€ in salaries.

Not sure this is the right way to look at it. We were going to pay amortization on Nainggolann, regardless of whether he played for us (in the form of a capital loss). We're still saving the salary expense by golden handshaking him.

Only because Galliani isn't still there. He always had a thing for ex-Inter players who were considered done in the black-and-blue side of Milan. Ronaldo, Vieri, Mancini, Muntari, Pazzini.
