I really thought Belotti could be good Kaku replacement but after Euro I've changed my mind.
And Italy won Euros with Belotti and Immobile at front ;) Belotti and Immobile did they job they did not score that many goals but the goals came from other areas! Its about team, system, depth…

Damn...Pedulla is reporting, offer of Chelsea is letting us choose, either 130m cash or Werner+money.

That's basically TWO Hakimis. Let's be real, had Marotta had that cash, our squad will be even stronger than last year.

Yes Lukaku will probably be good under Inzaghi? But 130 million is crazy money!!! That would open us delicious opportunity! We could affort to clean Vidal and Nainngolain + others out of our roster. Then we could go after players like Locatelli, Lazzari maybe include Alonso that Lukaku deal and get a new striker and next year go after Pessina… build a solid fucking team without financial issues and get new growing talents/assets to our team! I would also sell De Vrij now and go after Romero and Milenkovic.
well, maybe, but at the end what we probably need is only a good RWB, maybe a decent CB that could rotate with Skriniar/Basto when theyre injured, a decent midfielder for the bench and a vice Lukaku.. i don't really see a sense starting a revolution, not now.

Belotti is shit. People on here keep talking about him like he could replace Lukaku but he would struggle to do so. Mentioning them in the same sentence is insulting.
sure, i agree. The problem anyway is that we don't will find another good striker like Lukaku, even with 130M. And Belotti is one of the only options if we don't want to spend 200M for a good striker.. the other option is to get a young striker and spend the other part of the money for a RWB or other positions. But is it worth doing it?

Belotti is a very good striker imo, he is not on Lukaku's level but he would be a good replacement given that we are low on cash. He didn't play that well in the Euros but he has been struggling ever since he recovered from covid during the Serie A season. He scores, with both feet and his head, is always a pain in the ass for the defenders and does a lot of work for the team. I rate him for the work he does in that sh*t Torino team. From all the low cost options he is by far the most interesting imo.

Lukaku isn't going anywhere anyway!

Belotti is a typical striker who do well in a mid-table team and would be very bad in a top-team. At Torino he is the main man and captain, at Inter he would be 1 of the 23 players and usually players can't cope with that giving the fact that the team isn't about him anymore.

Vlahovic would be the only adequate "replacement" for Lukaku. Obviously not as good, yet, but for a longer project. But he costs probably 70m€, maybe 60m€ if the player forces the sale. Commisso doesn't have to sell to make money, he's rich enough.

Gazzetta mentioned Zapata and Raspadori if Lukaku was sold. I doubt Zapata, would cost too much IMO from a direct rival. Raspadori could be acquired for sure.

Lukaku is the one player in our team with name recognition around the world. He alone elevates the reputation of Inter enormously. Only aficionados know about the quality of Martinez, Barella, Bastoni, Skriniar, but those names mean zero to the average football fan. While depressing, it is important to have a player people a familiar with.

Not only that, he's a leader on and off the field, and he was Serie A's best player last season. Without him we would not have enjoyed the successes of the past two seasons (Scudetto and EL-final). In no conceivable way could he be adequately replaced by any Serie A player.

I would only consider selling him if we were overhauling the squad because of a new coach with a completely different tactical approach to Conte.

Don't have one.

And that's before his obvious decline which now borders on can he even be a seria a midtable striker. Whoever watched him last season or in euro knows what I'm talking about. Covid absolutely wrecked him, although I don't think it's just a covid...

Yes you have a good point. And Lukaku had used his platform well with racism issues and so on. Specially in Italy which is notoriously bad with dealing with racism.

He's well known figure all over the place so that definitely draws more attention to Inter.

exactly, "on paper". Everything else is to see. Vhlao could be the next big thing or also the next Piatek. I would not do that honestly. There are not much good strikers as (or better) then Lukaku at the moment
I promise you that Vlahovic won`t be the next Piatek, you can quote me on this one. On the other hand, we are champions of Italy and selling one of our top performing strikers would send out the wrong signal. I believe Hakimi has been sacrified to keep the chemistry, so don`t fix what is not broken.

Inter star Romelu Lukaku has reportedly snubbed a potential return to Chelsea, despite being offered a higher salary. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea hold talks with the Belgian star, offering him to return to Stamford Bridge.

However, Lukaku wants to stay at Inter and refused to continue negotiations with the Blues. The pink paper reports Lukaku doesn’t want to leave the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza despite being offered a higher salary in London.
According to the report, Inter have never received a formal offer from Chelsea.
> Chel$ki willing to spend like that is for a reason, as the club trained him onto the upper level. Lukaku seems like a different player now vs when we got him, and all the indicators are pointing that he will continue to do well for us. Let`s not forget it`s not just the goals but the counters and shielding he does for Martinez to slot in.

hakimi was sold because we are broke, that was a patch

about wrong signal, we cant go past group stage 3 years in a row, we sold our top WB hakimi so we can sell 28 years old lukaku for 130

dont worry about our "reputation" its perferct clear where we are as a club

and we have to sell lukaku, a 28 years old player for 130 mil, its right to do so and every other smart club in our postion would do the same

Yes It would be crazy to not sell him now! There is life after Lukaku like it was after Icardi and anyways we will have to replace him somepoint anyways! He is getting older and with that body I dont think he has that many great seasons ahead of him?

I would go for Vlahovic, but Jovic or Isak would also be interesting options also Schik would do if price is right and salary low? Or Zapata?

Keita Balde in that case we can offload Pinamonti. If Sanchez goes then Belotti, Raspadori or Scamacca would be good options for that thirt CF role!

So with front line like

Vlahovic, Lautaro, Sanchez, Keita

looks good to me and we could try to save some money and add some youth players like Satriano on that deal? But eaven if we had to pay that 70m we would still have 60 million for other players like Locatelli and Lazzari!

Can't go back and fix terrible mistakes now, I suppose, but if Lukaku were sold and they got €130M for him, then Suning forcing the sale of Hakimi as quickly as they did makes them look like even bigger short-sighted idiots than they already were.
Assuming this €130M offer for Lukaku is true, you can bet that they wouldn't have offered nearly as much if we hadn't sold Hakimi early on and clubs knew we were still in desperate need of €80m.

So, sure fuck Suning for the financial mess they've put us in, I guess, but selling Hakimi as early as they did is definitely a good thing in my book.

If there's truth in that figure:
A) We are idiots
B) Chelsea are idiots
