I'm not gonna be mad at Inzaghi except for the Džeko thing and not giving Lautaro a fair chance.

I do have to ask if Sanchez is injured or are we just giving him wages to sit on the bench. He did good in a duo with Lautaro before, whynot give him a start?

Soon we'll have to make some changes in attack, some different combos.

Yeah we were equal against Real basically. It was one chance right at the end we conceded which decided this encounter. But general performance was good. We just need to be more decisive.

I don't have any fears regarding the rest of the group.

Simone Inzaghi On Inter Defeat To Real Madrid: “There Were Some Mistakes From Me”

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has publicly accepted some of the blame for the Nerazzurri’s 1-0 defeat at home to Real Madrid on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.

Speaking to Mediaset Infinity, Simone Inzaghi explained that he did make some mistakes during the match but also focused on the incredible saves that were made by Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.

“They are moments, I have to carefully review all the decisons. I made some mistakes, but many, many compliments to the Real Madrid goalkeeper.”

The moments that he refers to presumably is in reference to the substitutions such as taking Lautaro Martinez off for Joaquin Correa instead of removing the tired looking Edin Dzeko.

Regardless of the result, it was clear that Simone Inzaghi was proud of his team’s performance. Thibaut Courtois’ performance was mentioned again and the coach feels Inter should have held out for a draw.

“I had asked for a test of courage and personality, the boys were very good; unfortunately we were unable to capitalise, a little from our own mistakes but above all thanks to Courtois who was amazing.

“Failing to win, we should have at least managed to get the draw.”

Inter were dominant for much of the game but failed to make any of their chances pay. They then conceded a late Rodrygo winner.

Sometimes I think Inzaghi makes substitutions just for the sake of...making substitutions. Kinda like how we play FIFA, PES, Football Manager, or stuff like that.

Apart from Correa in the Verona game, I don't think he has been right with all his subs so far.

Yeah Inzaghi has always been bad with his subs. But at least he is still young, isn't stubborn and willing to learn.

Hope he could improve before the season derails.

let's be fair, for a big club, our bench is kinda average at best.

I expect Eriksen to play three matches in a row before that happens to Sensi any time soon. Vecino WAS an okay utility b2b, now he looks lost. Can't wait for him to leave, he looks scared on the pitch.

Dumfries is a runner and nothing else (at the moment), Gags and Vidal at least proved last season that you can win a league with those two even if one is kinda past his best years and one is nothing special but at least kept shitting himself at a minimum for one season. Still, Gags is not a player I would think to use in CL, but in slower Serie A matches it works good enough.

I like DiMarco, but don't love him - it's his year to shine so that he can take over Perišić next season. Kolarov, I hate him with a passion of an aspiring artist. Other goalkeepers are a lot worse than Handa, that's why I don't even bother remembering their names.

D'ambrosio is a fighter, but too old to play on the wings and too frail to play as a centerback. He'll do for this season, but it will be time to get a proper CB or a proper wingback next summer instead of him, especially since we also have Darmian (who at the moment looks more match ready)

Frog doesn't play a lot, but I'd keep him. Rather have an old CB on the bench than a younger player that won't get to play because De Vrij is a fucking boss.

Sanchez and Correa are good players, but I'm wondering what is Inzaghi's plan with them. Obviously our best department, starting 11 and bench wise, but I see Džeko more as Lautaro's bench option, not his attacking compatriot.

Did I go through all of them? Probably. In my opinion we also have a worse starting 11 than last season, at least name-wise. I only wrote this to remind people that we are on very thin ice (injuries, cards) to have some unsavory and barely capable individuals start games for us this season. Let's hope to another good year and that Inzaghi works on his mistakes!

He's doing a good job so far imo

The game vs Samp was right after the intl break and the loss vs Real Madrid was totally undeserved. We dismantled them in the first 50-60 minutes, unlike last season when we had a better team.

AND, the football we play is way more interesting.

Excellent match but Inzaghi should stop using all the subs too early, at the 70'+ mark. Otherwise Sampdoria would not be the last time we eventually end up with 10 vs 11 as a player gets injured late in the game. Especially when we have many glassmen like Sensi, Sanchez or Vidal.

Nice wrinkle putting Barella on the left hand side, worked well against Bologna.

I'm still sceptical about him as our defense remains very suspicious. Until the second goal Bologna were the better team and every cross in our penalty area caused a pure chaos.

If you watched Lazio over the years, you know what to expect. Only this time he has more key players in certain positions than he had in Lazio. We're fine. Even in the Madrid game it really should have been a draw. It's going fine.

we only conceded two goal when Skriniar, De Vrij, and Bastoni start.

one from Handanovic fault against Verona, and then Vecino fault against Madrid.
